Review: This book is about a fourteen-year-old boy name Sorry Rinamu, and his family. It takes place in the 1940's. The story is set in the Bikini Atoll. Sorry's uncle, Abram Makaoliej, came home after being in the US for several years. He tells Sorry all kinds of stories. He can even speak English. Americans come to the island an tell the people tht they want to use Bikini Island to test the atom bomb. Abram and Sorry decide to protest but then Abram dies. Abram had important values. He wanted nothing to stop him from saving the island he belonged to. He would everything in his power to save it-even die. I liked this from the middle to the end, but I thought the beginning was boring because I couldn't really understand it. Toward the end, it started to get interesting.

Review: This book is great for people who want to know more about world war II. This book is a great story. It is exciting and factual. The story is kind of sad at the end for some reason which i will not tell you here because you must find out by reading it yourself. But i'll give you a description of Sorry. Sorry is a good boy who has lived on The island of Bikini all his life. Yet he must now try to stop the Americans from dropping an atom bomb on their lagoon.

This story will make you keep reading it more and more. Its intense excitement is excellent. I give this book 2 thumbs up and 4 stars. If you were to pick up this book right now and read it you would never be able to put it down until your donewith it. This book is DA BOMB!!!!

Review: This book is really good for those who want to know about the past around the time of World War II. It is really exciting,but sad because the bombing actually happened. Sorry Rinamu, the major character, is trying to stop the American government from testing the atomic bomb on his home. That is so brave! I really hope others read and enjoy the book as much as I did. This is da bomb book!

Review: This book starts out with a sixteen year old named Sorry and his family, that live on a samll island called Bikini.When Sorry and his family hear that the U.S is going to use this island as an atomic bomb testing site they dont want to leave and belive that they can stop the U.S. He trys to reason with some of the U.S soldiers but was unsuccessful.The author shows great determination though the character Sorry.The book is very descriptive and shows the reality of droping bombs in an area where humans live.Theodore Taylor's novel is action packed and is definatly worth reading.

Review: This book was about a sixteen year old girl and her family that lives on Bikinie island. The island is near hawiee just west of it and the government ones the land. They want to test the atomic bomb on the island. The whole family wants to stop in all this cachous sorry's uncle abram dies and every one is devistated. Bikinie is a small island with a loogoon in the middle of the island and the wildlife is great there that is why the Government whants to test it there at the end of the book. The whole residents that loive on the island have to move out and were special oiyment and sun glasses 25 miles away and leave and not come back for a long time. Sorry and her friend are getting off the island hours before the bomb drops will she make it read the book and find out! I thought this book was good.

Summary: Dull, boring, slow and a waste of my time
Review: This factual novel by Theodore Taylor takes place on the small Bikini Atoll in the western Pacific that has been chosen to be the test site of the atomic bomb. A boy on the atoll, Sorry, is suddenly caught in the middle of a debate between the Americans and the Bikinians on whether to relocate or not. Sorry is soon informed by his uncle that the Americans are up to no good and if the Bikinians relocate that more than likely they will never see their island again. This book isn't very good because it was slow and hard to follow. I would not recommend this book to kids or teens.
