Summary: Good, descriptive book
Review: "The Bomb" is a good descriptive book. After you've read it, you have to actually think that we actually pushed these people off the island and destroyed it!!! Sorry is a good, strong character and is very brave at what he did at the end. But, the end was also very sad.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Not a very accurate historical account
Review: A simple story. Lacks truth of real life living in the pacific. The author should have visited how the place appears before writing this book, even though this is a fictional work.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: The Bomb is a intresting histrocial fiction book
Review: I believe this book is a very intresting book about how a family is forced by the U.S. goverment to leave their island, Bikini Atoll, because of nuclear testing. The goverment told Sorry and his family they just need to borrow their island for testing and they can come back to their homeland in 2 years. Later on Sorry find out a lot of information about the bomb and all the lies the Navy have told him and his family. He decides to think of a plan to stop the bomb. He does but will it work?

I believe this is a very good about historical fiction. This book won the Scott O'dell award for Historical Fiction. I also believe this is a good book for young readers. If you like a book with many facts and a lot of fiction. Please read The Bomb by Theodore Taylor.

Summary: The Bomb
Review: I liked the book because Ithought it used many facts. It taught me things like we only know what our government tells us. It's like speaking part of the truth. They only say what makes them look good. You wouldn't want someone thinking badly of you so sometimes you stretch the truth a lot. Sorry is a boy who is soon to be a man at the age of 14. He has things that he will fight for and one of those things is home no matter how good the odds are because there is always a chance to win. He fought against the U.S. Marines because they wanted to test their weapons on their land called Bikini Lagoon. Sure the U.S. Marines rescued them from Japan, but they weren't expecting compensation for their actions. Sorry's Uncle Abram is the one who got him to help fight against the U.S. Marines in the first place. Will the U.S. Marines have their way with the people of Bikini Atoll? This was the question I asked after the first 30 pages or so.

Summary: The bomb
Review: I recommend this book to anyone who is 10 years and older because this book has facts about the atomic bomb and when they were building it so some of the words are very hard to pronounce. Certain parts of this book are very surprising and exciting, like when Sorry said to everyone, " I am going out to the reef and I am going to catch a shark and bring it back here and show everyone that I am not a little boy any more." While Sorry was trying to spear the shark, it struggled to get away and it dragged him under. He wasn't able to breath, but finally he cut the line and swam to the surface. Another reason I enjoyed the book was that it showed people working together. Abram came on to the island and walked up to Sorry and said, "Tomorrow we are going to the Enyu channel and we are going to hunt down a tiger shark.''
Although they did not catch the shark they worked together to find it. I liked this book because it was fun to read and there was some action.

Summary: I Recommend Reading it!
Review: If you like action books you would like "The Bomb." I would recommend it to any age group if you are into actions. It is about a boy and the Americans wanting to use Bikini Island for a bomb test site.

Summary: The Bomb, and my thoughts
Review: In my opinion "The Bomb" is a great book. It keeps you turning as you slowly see the reality of it all unfold and the two worlds of the book colide. It keeps you waiting for something big to happen, and when it does your shocked by it. The characters are real and you learn to feel and sense as they do. By the time your done with the book you actually sort of hate the United States goverment for ever doing such a crime to a race.

Under my recomendations it is agreat book to read and is a verily easy read for those who can't read long books. For those who do read it I hope you enjoy.

Summary: The WORST Book Ever
Review: It was a total waste of time. It was dull, stupid, and boring. I would not recomend this book for anyone. It is hard to follow it's just confusing.

Summary: The Bomb
Review: RECOMMENDATION This book takes place during the time of the war. I recommend this book to anyone who is 12 years old and up because it's about the war in the early 1900s. But you need to understand a little bit of the wars to comprehend it to your understandings. Also it has a little bit of fighting in it. For example, the United States were trying to compete with Germany. "Do you relize we are the only humans within miles of here?" shouted Tara. Tara asked, "Will we be six miles away?" Sorry nodded, "I hope so." In conclusion if you are interested in bombs and the history of the world, read, "THE BOMB."
