Summary: This is a awesome Brian Jacques book for everyone.
Review: This is a unique Brian Jacques book because it doesn't focus on Redwall characters. A young hare escapes his home with a traveling warrior to join the Long Patrol. Then the story continues through interesting adventure that will attract any reader.

Summary: Awesome
Review: Let me just say that this book is awesome. But, it would have been a better fantasy if it had some magic and wizardry in it! That would have made this book a lot cooler.

Summary: Awesome, as always
Review: This book was great. I am probably one of the worlds hugest fans of the Redwall books. I can imitate mole language, hare, pygmy shrew, sparrow, northlands tongue, and even an attemp at dipper. As you can see, I have have read all of the books. I own all of them, except Marlfox, which I am desperately waiting to come out in paperback, for those are the only versions I have. I am now, in fact, on my third round of reading them. This one, was nothing short of spectacular. A can't understand how anybody could read these and say, "that was a horrible book!". To me, it is incomprehensible. My favorite is Mattimeo, though The Long Patrol was definately up there with it somewhere. I wanted to point out, that I know, if you have only read a few of his books, it does seem like Brian Jacques is a little sexist. This, however, is not true. The Mariel of Redwall is about a girl hero named Mariel, who plays a huge part as a warrior. Mariel also returns to be a great female warrior in The Bellmaker. And, in Mossflower, the evil, leader of the bad guys is a female wildcat, Tsarmina. She is no less evil and crafty than any of Jacques' male villins. So, if you have not read the Redwall books, READ THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't stress that enough. READ THEM!!!!!

Summary: I love the Redwall series
Review: I have and have read all the books in the Redwall series. The Long Patrol is a just as good as the others. Personally my favorite is The Pearls of Lutra. In response to one of the other reviews, the rapscallions don't have courage or good in them to win. When they face someone who is good and has courage, they are sure to lose. It is the same for every book, the enemy gains a few small victories, but loses the war. With Redwall, Cluny does lose, but when he gains entrence, he doesn't keep it for long, because the Redwallers are brave. In The Long Patrol, the Rapscallions almost win with their large numbers in the big war, but the good creatures are better fighters and work together instead of everyone for himself and they eventually win.

Summary: BJ? Trust me, you can do better.
Review: The Long Patrol sucks. Those four words you have never heard out of the mouth of any true Redwall fan. Well, you're gonna hear it from me. TLP was just put out on the market to keep Brian Jacques's fans happy 'til the next book. I hated it. It revolved around fight after fight where the good guys always won even though they were outnumbered. Now, the bad guys on the other hand, were so terrifying and feared... but so disorganized and stupid they hardly made a threat. Now, look at Redwall. The first book. Cluny made it /in/ to Redwall. He could have /won/ if it weren't for Matthias. But these horrible rapscallions weren't even worth the effort to turn the page. I would not reccomend this to someone new to the world of Redwall. Read Martin The Warrior.

Summary: Neat book!!!!!!
Review: Tammo, a young hare, has always dreamed of being on the Long Patrol. After escaping his house he runs off with a squirell named Russa to Redwall Abbey and from there go to Salamandastron. Meanwhile, Damug Warfang, Firstblade of the Rapscallion army, is marching to take the peaceful Redwall Abbey for his own! Andyet at the same time behind the badger Lady, Cregga Rose Eyes, the fighting hares of Salamadastron are going to intercept the Rapscallion army before they can reach Redwall and take it!

I hope if you read this book you will enjoy it as much as I did.

Summary: "Excellent show , wot wot ! "
Review: I thought that; The Long Patrol , was a excellent book ! I was sad when Russa died and thought she was a very brave creature indeed! I cheered when Tammo got married , was in shock , when Lady Cregga was blinded, and laughed when Rubbadub gave a drum roll! All together I give Brian Jacques' book an Eulaliaaaa!!" Very Good Sah!"
