Summary: This one is good
Review: This is one of the better Redwall books. I read this a year ago and just found out I could write a review on it now. Even after that long I still remember the [greatness] of the book. This Redwall book goes into more of the rabbits. The interesting "Long Patrol" is what attracts our young hero to become a warrior. The battles in this book is what is so awesome. Those rabbits can kick some a [butt]. There are three rabbits agaisnt many and they kick some butts. Great writting from one of the best "Brian". I trually enjoyed this book and hope you choose it as one of your Redwalls selection.

Summary: The Long Patrol
Review: I read the Long Patrol, by Brian Jacques. It was one of his best books so far. The setting was in Mossflower, and its surrounding area. The Long Patrol, a group of perilous hares, set out to go to Redwall Abbey to warn them of the Rapscallions, an army of deadly rats, ferrets, foxes and stoats. The Long Patrol teams up with waterhogs, shrews, otters, and redwallers to destroy the Rapscallions! They are outnumbered 1000 to 300. Can Lady Cregga the Badger Lord and her Salamandastron hares arrive in time to help them? This is possibly the greatest battle Redwall has ever seen...

On a scale of 1 to 5, I would give the Long Patrol a 5. Brian Jacques is one of the best authors out there. You should read all of his Redwall books.

Review: The Long Patrol is mainly about a young hare Tammo who all his life wanted to join the Long Patrol, but his father forbids it. When Tammo finally runs away (with help from is mom), he discovers the Long Patrol is really diffrent from what he thought. If anyone knows the order of the books (not order written) please post. With the help of his mother and Russa Nodrey, a wandering squirrel, he runs away and joins the Long Patrol, not knowing what lies instore.

A very good book, it inspired me to read all of Brian Jacques' books. It is exciting and hilarious at the same time. I hope you enjoy it.

Review: A GREAT BOOK AND A MUST READ FOR ANYONE.

Summary: Short Review on "The Long Patrol"
Review: I liked this book because it didn't concentrate on the Redwall Abbey as most of the other books did (I know there are certain exceptions to that statement). Brian Jacques writes in such a way that when you read his work, it feels like you're among the characters in the book, doing whatever they're doing, seeing what they see, hearing what they hear. I especially enjoyed the part where Tammo (the main character, a young hare whose dream is to join the Long Patrol under Badger Lady Cregga Rose Eyes) and Midge Manycoats (an officer in the Long Patrol) disguised themselves as Rapscallions (the villains in the book; vermin such as stoats, rats, ferrets, and weasels). This is a very good book with lots of action, and I would recommend it to anyone who doesn't find it excruciatingly painful to sit down and read a good book once in a while.

Summary: Not as good as the others
Review: I liked this book, but I like the other Redwall books better. Some parts of it are great as in the other books in the Redwall series, but some are really boring, unlike the others. Certain parts are so boring that I had to put the book down for a while because I got really bored. Over all, I liked the other Redwall books better than this one.

Summary: Redwall books
Review: Like Anne McCaffrey, Jacques writes his books out of order. as far as I can tell this is the cronological order of the redwall books. Martin the warrior, Mossflower, Redwall, Mattimeo, Mariel of Redwall, Bellmaker, Salamandastron, Outcast of Redwall, Pearls of Lustra, Long Patrol, Don't know about anyone else but I like to read them in historical order instead of read past, present, past, past , prequel, present and so on. But they are good books so what ever order you want to read them, you'll enjoy them.
