Summary: This was one of the best books I ever read.
Review: The Ancient One, by T. A. Barron, was a compelling novel, and one of the best I've ever read. It was wonderful whether it was read along with Heartlight, its prequel, or by itself. This book teaches children about preserving our natural resources, because they can be very precious. Kate makes another appearance as an ordinary girl who loves softball and gets herself into some pretty extraordinary situations. Everyone can identify with her, and that's important in a main character. This was another good job for T. A. Barron.

Review: The book starts out like any other, but as the book goes on adventure, excitement, and a fairytale-like storyline capture the essence of a true book. I read it in school and was one of the few books I actually enjoyed reading. A definate must-read. I met the author at school and he explained it even further. A wonderful story!

Review: The main characters of this story are kids that have to go on a quest. I wouldn't recommend this book to people who don't like fantasy books. I won't tell you what it is about, so you have to read the book. I will tell you that it holds your interest and it's hard to put your book down.

Review: This page turning fantasy/science fiction book is one of the best books I've read. The characters seemvery real and portray thair own thoughts and emotions. Kate and Laoni's feelings were what a real person might feel in that situation.The plot was very interesting because it was a fantasy idea and couldn't really happen. And the ending was one of which I was hoping for from the beginning of the book.
