Rating: Summary: E.L.'s BEST BOOK YET Review: THIS BOOK IS A GREAT BOOK FOR ALL AGES. I am an author myself and it has been an insperation to me to finish the book i am working on. It is also a book you can learn from. Gives you life lessons with a twist. Read on!!!!
Rating: Summary: I love you, Claudia!!! Review: This is my all-time favorite book(and I'm almost 30.) I believe that because of this book, I have lived my entire life with a sense of guerilla efficiency -- I used to read and reread the passages about Claudia's typing the letter to Mrs. Frankweiler on used paper on a display typewriter, about her sleeping in the musty antique bed, about her bargain lunches in the automat (which, when I was growing up in Prairie Grove, Arkansas, seemed so very urban and sophisticated to me) and doing all her laundry in one washer because it was cheaper, though it came out sort of gray.
Rating: Summary: fabulous story that challenges the imagination Review: I just spent 30 minutes using internet search tools to find the name of this book for my 8 year old daughter. This was one of my favorite books 25 years ago. I'm excited to share it with my children. I still imagine hiding on top of a toilet every time I enter a public restroom!
Rating: Summary: great! Review: This book is an excellente twist on life. It isn't to be taken seriously. The plot is fun. Its a good book to have read out loud to. I liked it.
Rating: Summary: I loved this interesting and well-written book Review: This is one of the few books that I, an avid reader, have sincerely considered to be one of my favorite. It contains all the elements of a well written novel, with the added bonus that it covers almost every possible interest area, from family to adventure to art. I am sincerely honored to review this book, and would give it more than 5 stars, if I was able to.
Rating: Summary: One of the best books I ever read! Review: I loves this book! It is about this two kids named Claudia and Jamie who run away from home to the Metropolitan Muesem of Art. Then, they find a statue named Angel which they think is made by Angelo. They try to find the owner to find out if it was in fact made by them. If you want to find out more, read this book! I would reccomend it to anyone!
Rating: Summary: This book is simply marvelous! Review: The story is very well written and filled with adventure for young readers. I read it years ago when I was in elementary school. Since then I have recommended it to both of my younger sisters, and just last year to my daughter. When she began doing book reports for school this year, it was definitely on the top of her list! The story is so timeless that kids from several generations can relate to Claudia's feelings of restlessness and under appreciation, as well as her relationship with her little brother. I suggest it to all parents for their 4th - 6th grade children.
Rating: Summary: I Highly Recommend This Book Review: I would definitly get this book. It pays enough attention to the right details, yet it doesn't distract you from the main plot. And the main plot I migh add, is exeptionally good. And the author changes from the girl's thoughts to her brother's thoughts, so you really get a feel for the characters. I wouldn't save my money.
