Summary: Great book if no errors.
Review: This is a great book but I gave it a 4 star because I have fond some errors in this book I have listed them below: 1: page 68 paragraph 3: "Jamie answered, "Oh, I... 2: page 93 paragraph 7: What kind of a sentence is that? Crushed up!" 3: page 109 paragraph 6: ...began walking up town with him as fast as he she ... If you did not have these 3 little errors then it would get a five star from me.

Summary: IT'S A GOOD BOOK SO FAR.
Review: DEAR READERS, IN SCHOOL WE ARE READING THIS BOOK AND SO FAR I LIKE IT ALOT. BECAUSE IT ALMOST SOUNDS LIKE ME!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Without a doubt, A CLASSIC!
Review: I read this book as a 10 year old, and again, some 20 odd years later. It so captures the imagination of kids, particularly girls, that I buy it for little girl I know. It's a fabulous story, with wonderful, well rounded charictors. Is it an issue that the kids run away from home? What child hasn't thought about that at one time or another? I don't think that it will encourage kids to run away, but will encourage them to read late into the night, with a flashlight under the covers!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Very interesting, encourages reading.
Review: The first time I read this book was for school. This is the only scholbook I have ever enjoyed reading. You'll want to read more!

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Not exactly "heroic."
Review: If you don't like the idea of kids running away, becoming brats, thinking of their parents as "bad" and acting sassy towards an elderly woman trying to help them, then forget this book. Definitely not worth your time.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: An Okay Book
Review: This is a really good book if you like stories about kids running away from home. Claudia and Jamie ran away because they thought their parents were unfair. They hid out in the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Near the end of the book, they met the lady who E.L. Konigsburg wrote that the book was writen by: Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler, who narrates the book, even when she hasn't entered the story yet.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: The Reason I Love New York...
Review: Konigsberg did more for New York with this fabulous book than any ad campaign could. It has runaways, secret hideaways, a mysterious statue and a reclusive socialite who holds the answers to it all. It's all covered with a heavy dose of early-1960's New York and sibling relationships in all their irritated affection. Claudia is a smart, sassy and flawed heroine with a taste for elegance and good clean smells, who wants to escape her "normal" life in Greenwich; her brother Jamie is a penny-pinching card shark who's looking for adventure under the beds in the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The Kincaids are a delight for anyone, child or adult, to meet.

Summary: Witty and exciting!
Review: From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler is one of the best books I have ever read! You can't help but admired Claudia's strong-willed mind and her clever plan. It's a wonderful book!!!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: JUST EXCELLENT!
Review: I must have read this book a half dozen times when I was a kid and on a recent whim, picked it up again. It is just as enjoyable now as it was then. Definitely a great book for all ages!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Says Newberry all over
Review: The characters were smart and witty. Pretty good thinking to run away to a place of luxury... bring a brother with money... and solve a mystery! It all ties together. I loved it!
