Rating: Summary: Excellent Fantasy Novel Review: This novel tells the story of a boy's coming of age. Like most adolescents, he struggles with adults, friends, girls, and his place in the world. However, unlike most people his age, Tarthur is faced with the charge of defeating the Death Lord and obliterating evil in the world. Although it is highly unlikely most people will be faced with the exact challenges presented in this book, Pottle's characters transcend their particular dilemnas and speak to a larger audience. Whether a struggling adolescent yourself of someone more advanced in life, Dreamquest provides a way to share your life journey and situations with those of Tarthur and Derlin.
Rating: Summary: Dreamquest Review: When you read a book you look for a couple of things. One is for plot and subplots. Some may say this book is hard to follow in the begining, but in the end all of the plots come together and make lots of sence and the book is great. Another thing for this type of book is humor needs to be tied in appropriatly and it is in Dreamquest when Tharthur first enters the city surrounding the castle. The last thing that I look for in a book is for is if the writer has confidence in himself and Bill Pottle shows confidence that matches Jk Rowling the author of Harry Potter. Other things that make this a good book are the different types of charactors such as Mermen, wizards, Humans, Elfs, and people being 2 things at once, as well as many more. This book truly shows that if you work for something and you have support from friends and strangers then you can do it.
