Summary: It caught my attention immediatly!!!!
Review: This book was great!! I had heard about it from a magizine and hunted it down and the moment I found it I knew it was worth the search!! If you're going to read only one book in your life, read this one!!

Summary: It was kind of a strange book that's what made it so good
Review: This was a good book. Charlie was different but that's what makes him like-able. I liked how the author made you felt like you were right there with Charlie. Like you were the one he was writing to. The Perks of Being a Wallflower is a good book and I recomend it to older teens and/or adults.

Summary: Cathartic...
Review: When I began this book I thought that it was going to turn into an overdone, unidentifiable human drama. But now I don't think a book has ever come so close to encapsulating me. I'm no druggie, but this novel basically has the exact same love story as I do. When I finished this book I finally put it down for the first time, and had about 50 pages marked because they said things that were so cathartic and right on. Really the only thing that I didn't like that much about this book was the epilogue. The rest of it made me laugh, cry, and squirm with the disbelief that an author out of school understands how hard it can be to be lost in love. I'd love to hear from anyone else who loves this book.

Summary: Great book
Review: I thought that this was a great book. I disagree when people say that teens are'nt like that because they are. I can relate to many things that have happened in this book and I know many other people that can. This book brought up sex but showed it in a real way and how things really happen. Not how people want them to. Teenagers now are having sex so many people can relate to this. People may not like this book cause they don't really want to face what's really happening with teenagers. One of my favirot parts of the book was the poem.

Summary: It's good...but not great
Review: This book was a good read, mostly because of its format and innocent voice... but I would not recommend this to young teens because of the approach to drugs and sex that it has.

I disagree with all of the other reviewers having a problem with the sex in the book; should our literature be censored from a very defining aspect of growing up? When you're 15, whether you are Christian or Atheist, there is/will be the sugar coating of something sexual in your daily lives... do not condemn this book because of its portrayl of male sexuality... it's not the focus of the story

Summary: awesome book! should be read in every english class
Review: this book was beyond the best book i've ever read. it is the story of Charlie, a very emotional boy, growing up in the early 90's and his problems with girls, guys, friends, family, just everyday issues for an average 15 year old. Charlie is something different. he is very insightful, and full of emotions and feelings. i enjoyed this book so much i read it 15 times!!! READ IT!

Summary: Killer novel.
Review: I could have read two hundred more letters from Charlie. He was unlike anyone I'd ever met, and he was me. Chbosky has created a world that is real, and truthful. Charlie tells the truth, even when he's lying to himself. Perhaps teenage angst isn't your thing. Perhaps you don't like epistolary novels. Whatever. This is a new generation's Catcher in the Rye. Please read this book.

Summary: Almost Infinite
Review: This book had the potential to be the "Catcher in the Rye" of its generation. Instead, it ends up being a good, but not great, novel. It is brought down, mainly, by its main character, Charlie. Don't get me wrong, he's not terrible, but he is incredibly immature for fifteen-sixteen. He's also something of a cry-baby and a semi-nutcase. His constant whinning drags the story down, especially dealing with his Aunt and near the end of the book. The other problem with the book is the relentless immorality of it. There isn't one Christian character, save one who appears on two pages, in the whole book.

But, enough of the bad. The good of the book is a. The other characters and b. That, by in large, the incidents (several of them have happened to me) are believable. Chbosky, to his credit, gives the characters just enough background to give you a rough idea of who they are, and allows you, if you wish, to pencil in your friends' names and looks.

In conclusion, while it falls short of its great potential, "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" is a worthwhile read. R. A. Merryman

Summary: The BEST BOOK!!!!
Review: I would recomend this to any person at all! It has totally given me somethin to fall back on, and to relate to. Even though it is targeted to Teens, I would strongly earge Adults to read it also, because it is a perfect book, and couldn't have been written any better!

Summary: My teenage years?? no I don't think so.
Review: I am a child of 13. My mother had sent a review sheet to me via e-mail. It said how great this book was and it was a so-called "must read." I read the book and I thought it was an awful way to think about all of our teenage years. I thought that the book had way too much sexual things and it's just not like that. Sure , the book had some good points of view but not a lot of them. I could hardly have myself finish. I thought it was overly disgusting. I agree with one of the other reviews. Teenagers do not talk like Charlie and his friends do. It is an odd book and I would definatly nt read it until you are at least 18. I think that because you can reflect more on the contents of the book. If you would please excuse poor grammar and spelling I am not in high school yet.
