Summary: I hate to read but I couldn't put this book down
Review: I saw this book advertised on mtv and I thought it looked pretty interesting. Turned out one of my friends had it and had already read it so he let me borrow it. Mind you, I really don't like to read but I finished 1/2 of the book in one day, and I just couldn't put it down! Some of the things the author, who is so talented, says I just think, 'wow, that is so right on! exactly how i feel!' and some of the lines are so powerful and amazing, you're left thinking of them for weeks. I've gone through and underlined and highlighted many parts because they are just so amazing. I highly recommend this book to all the teens out there. Trust me on this one, you'll love it!

Summary: "Wallflowers" made me think
Review: I loved this book. It was recommended to me by a friend, and once I picked it up, I couldn't stop reading it. It gives a different perspective on the whole high school experience, and the way people are affected by it. Not everyone fits in like many people try to believe; high school can be fun, exciting, painful and confusing, as Charlie conveys through his thoughtful naaration. Though it seems like the pain will never end, he shows it can, and will.

Summary: The Book That Changed The Way I Think About Things
Review: Steven Chbosky's first book, THe Perks Of Being A Wallflower isprobably the best book I've ever read in my life. Before I read thisbook I didn't understand things about life as a teenager as well as I do now. The book is a collection of letters sent by a boy named Charlie to someone he's only heard about. Becouse the book is in a letter format, it makes it very easy to read and is more interesting. I loved this book and so have my friends since it depicts what teen life is really about

Summary: The hauntingly accurate depiction of life as we live it.
Review: "The perks of being a wallflower" is a striking novel of the explorations of love and life. The book begins with the introduction of Charlie, the narritive main charecter. We then meet the family... the all american family leaves charlie feeling out of place. charlie is then forced to find new friends after the suicide of his best friend in Jr. High. He painfully realizes the changes that occur between Jr. High and High school. Charlie meets the seniors, Patrick and Sam. He immediatly realizes how great school can be when you have a friend. They treasue their unity, and friendship. He experiments with drugs and alcohol, while maintaining an excellent relationship with his english teacher, who gives him extra books and assignments. Charlie constantly juggles family friends schoolwork, and the memory of his beloved aunt. He lives a constant struggle between a passive lifestyle, and an aggresive lifestyle. This provocative book forces the reader to evaluate who they are and what their motivation is for living. Sure, there are perks to being a wallflower, but sometimes you can't see everything without being in the spotlight. This book will make the reader realize that living isn't always as easy as breathing in and out.

Summary: Chbosky's Book is HOT!
Review: The book TPOBAW is excellent. It touched on many of the issues and themes that are so universal to us young Americans, and at the same time presented in a very personal way, giving us some ownership over what is going on. There is a strong sense of style and some just breathtaking moments throuout the book. Chbosky, you keep up the GREAT work!

Summary: I loved this book, it is one of my favorite books!!!!!!
Review: I really recommend this book!!! I'm fifteen and I don't usually spend much time reading. I saw this book on a comercial on MTV, so I thought I'd check it out. The night I got it I only put it down once. (Dinner) I read through the night.

It reminded me of when I was shy, and it made me be thankful for my family and friends. I don't know why, that's just what I got from it. You should definatly read it!

Summary: An emotional and dramatic story, all too real.
Review: I have seen other people rate this book as horrible due to the extensive launguage of Charlie in the book. I am just now going to begin my Sophomore year in high school, and I think there was ONE, count one, word that I have not used often in my writing. I also think that the sex, drugs, and emotions in the book were portrayed with honesty, and truthfullness. Youth today do not live on the set of "Dawson's Creek". Everything is not always fine and dandy. I can relate to Charlie in more than one ways, I too, stuggle with what I think about myself and others. I recomend this novel to all teenagers, as it will help you come to grips with what you are experiencing, and if you aren't experiencing it, then you can see how hard it can be for other people, making you a more compassionate and nicer human being.

Awesome book. Among my favorites. Also, I recomend reading the books that Charlie's teacher gave him throughout the year. Most are very, very good as well.
