Summary: This book is great and as the depht of a real teenager.
Review: I disagree with the the reviews that say this book is not what a real teenager thinks and they go into to much detail on certain parts. This teenager is from the EARLY 90s so all of the little 13 year olds going "this is not like me", that would be because you have been babied and spoiled! How would you know what being a teenager was like back when you were 4? i am an older teenager and think that this book is a true masterpiece. And for those of you that are complaing about the sex in this book, What are you? Catholic school children? about every book you will read in life will have sex or vulgure language in it. So If you want to be a sheltered little baby, my recomendation is DON'T EVER READ ANYTHING AGAIN.

Summary: A GREAT BOOK!
Review: There are no words to describe how this book swallows you up and doesn't let go. I got this book in the mail Monday and finished it Thursday! I couldn't put it down!! It's the perfect book for people struggling in High School as well with life problems. It deals with real issues that real teens face. I'm a Junior in HS and I can relate to everything he said from the all the books he reads and his comments on love, life, friends, and family . I loved this book so much it deserves a second read through. One line that really took me was "Charlie, we accept the love that we think we deserve." When Charlie was talking to Bill about his "problem". I think it was a great book and I'm going to make all my friends read this! They could all relate!! I'm going to "particpate in life" :-) and maybe one day climb into the back of a pickup truck and go through a tunnel that takes me to downtown NY and stand up and pretend like I'm flying, and feel infinite. Because that's what life's about? Isn't it.:-)

Summary: Its the next best thing to your own autobiography!!!
Review: Every teenager goes through the tough times of high school. Charlie is the epitome of high school freshman. He feels like an outcast in his family, school, intellect, and own mind. The message is universal and nearly all walks of life can relate.

Summary: incredible book! Read it!
Review: This book was one of the most touching and realistic portrayals of high school that i've ever found. Although it has some adult-type material, i recomend it to anyone who can read with an open mind. Great work Stephen Chbosky!

Summary: i loved this book, it reminded me of my life
Review: this book was really great, i read it in the 8th grade and now i am in the 9th. it really made me think and start comparing my life to the one of charlie(the main charchter in the book). charlie's character and myself are very similar and that made me want to keep reading the book. i have read the book twice and it is easily one of my favorites of all time. also it helped me get prepared for what is to come in high school! i really think that any teenager that feels like they aren't participating in their own lives enough should read this.

Summary: I LOVE THIS BOOK!!
Review: When I first picked up this book, I thought it was going to be incredibly boring and stupid. But after I read the first few pages, I was hooked on it! At times this book was wicked funny and at other times it got so sad, that I had to stop reading for a bit. The thing that I loved most about this book was that it was so real and I felt like what happens to Charlie in the book, has probably happened to a lot of other teens in the world. READ THIS BOOK NOW!!!

Summary: A great view on a young adults problems, great for teenagers
Review: I could literally not put this book down. This is a fabulous outlook on a young intellectual boy that thinks too much. As he writes letter to an anonymous receiver, you feel his pain and confusion like no other way. This is an excellent book and I would highly recomend reading it.

Summary: This book is one of the best I've ever read but...
Review: This book is one of the best I've ever read but I wouldn't reccomend it for any one who is nieve. It pretty accurately depicts the feelings of some teens, but it also throws in some pretty heavy stuff.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Amazing
Review: This story was amzingly realistic and poignant. It was beautifully and intelligently worded. It received a great deal of criticism about the verbose nature of the teenagers conversations, but being a recent high school graduate, I can say that my friends and I had the same ostentatious vocabulary. The negative comments are unjustified. This book was great. It ranks up there with my other favorites: Ordinary People, The Catcher in the Rye, etc.
