Rating: Summary: How Stephen Chbosky saved my life Review: Ok, so he didn't save my life, but this is DEFINETELY thefinest book I've ever read. Mainly because the main character is somuch like me that it scares me. But I think Chbosky writes in such a way that almost anyone can deeply relate to Charlie. God, this book was so amazing. I just wish I read it sooner so I could make some of the events part of my youth (even though I am only 18)- instead of having them be wonderful nostalgia. A serious must-read for anyone 15-21.
Rating: Summary: I think it's funny Review: isn't it funny how almost everyone says this is just such a great book and then someone comes along and mentions about how hollow it is. it seems to me you people are all drowning in your own depth. if there was ever a more beautifully written book, i would love to know - because i've read catcher in the rye...and this book is better. stephen chbosky couldn't be more brilliant and i can't imagine that he's older than 16 because no one has ever made teenage life more real.

Rating: Summary: 'An excellent look inside the reality of being a teenager' Review: This book was amazingly true. It flowed and had witty technique along the lines. I, myself, am a 13 year old and I related to this book as much as I related to 'The Catcher in the Rye' which is my all-time favorite. Charlie in 'The Perks of Being a Wallflower' is the stereotype of a teenager. He's scared and comfortable at the same time in his changing surroundings. His life is so many other teens' everyday exsistance. I would recommend this book to adolescents or parents with teenage children. Some of it might surprise you but you will soon realize that the book is hardly fiction and that the 90s come with a price.
Rating: Summary: *A must read for anyone who wishes they were someone else!!* Review: This book is a definite must read for anyone who wishes they were in someone elses shoes. This excellent book takes you into the life of someone else--an intellectual teenage boy who is just trying to find his place in life. This book is highly recommended to anyone and everyone.
Rating: Summary: Splendid read! Review: I LOVED this book unlike any other that I have ever read! Charlie's brutally honest and human view of life is what makes the book truly captivating. I felt as if I was right there with him, going through every experience by his side. Please, pick up this book! It is more than worth it. I just hope that Mr. Chbosky has a follow-up coming soon!
Rating: Summary: The only word to describe this book is...important. Review: This is a must read. For some reason, it grabs you fast at page one, without a gimmick, without a trick. It is perhaps the most natural voice I have encountered since Holden Caulfield. I find myself wishing that Charlie and his world were around when I was 15, but I feel very fortunate to have stumbled upon him at 24. It's a quick read, because it is addictive! When the book was closed and sitting on my coffee table, I found myself yearning for time to "hang out" with Charlie. It was as if he was alive, and I needed to know that he was OK. I laughed and cried, but didn't feel that this piece was over-sentimental. I'm a writer... and I can honestly give Chbosky what I consider my best compliment, which is this..."Wish I wrote it."
Rating: Summary: The outside looking in. Review: This book made me look from the outside of the social world of teens in. Charlie's character shows that no matter who you are or what level of popularity you have, everyone has problems. It was hard to put down and the ending had me speechless. I would recommend this book to anyone!!!
Rating: Summary: The book was realistic and honest Review: "Charlie" was a very honest, and realistic character. This book was amazing, and very enlightning. It was something that everyone could relate to.
Rating: Summary: Great Great Book!!!! Review: The only way that I can tell you about this book is that it is relevant to a high school student!!! It is woderful and regardless of your age you should read it!!!
