Summary: Lauren's review
Review: I really enjoyed "The Perks of Being a Wallflower." The main character, Charlie, had a very unique personality that struck me. His whole personality intrigued me because he was different. Not different in a bad way; different because he didn't care all that much about being popular. He kept too himself most of the time, and as a result didn't have many friends. Charlie goes through many changes and difficult times through the book, and it was interesting to watch him grow as a person. I reallt liked how the author decided to write the book. He made it so Charlie was telling the story in his journal entries. I like that because it really showed the person Charlie was, and his opinions on everything that was going on in his life. I think the author especially wrote the book for teenagers. Therefore I could relate to a lot of the issues that were brought up in the book. Such as drugs, dating, and much more. I discovered when I was reading the book that everyone needs friends to lead on during the tough times in your life. Without friends I think it's very hard to get through some of your problems. In the beginning of Charlie's freshman year of high school, he didn't have any friends. But then when he met his soon to be best friends, he got a lot happier. This book can appeal to both guys and girls. It's very controversial, and easy to relate to.

Summary: a very real look at teenage life
Review: This a book that is much like a lake, a clear blue lake that is very easy to fall in to. The book is a daring, insightful look at the life of a teenage boy, a real wallflower. He is the kind of boy who fades into the woodowrk, the proverbial wallflower. He is there yet he is not. His power, though, comes from listening and observing. He feels much and comes to see what high school is really like. He sees the shallowness in people, in the way others judge people. He lives a life of anonymity yet a life brimming with thought and goodness. It is like a lake as well because this honesty on the page is refreshing and cool. I think that many teens will relate to and will see themselves on the pages of this book. It was heartbreaking and yet uplifting. The language, the sexual scenes are at times startling and very specific but they seemed to be there for a reason and overall this book was eye opening and important. I'd imagine it would be a book even kids who don't like to read would be able to grab hold of and hold on to for the ride. Like the lake, it ripples with depth.

Summary: Stephen Chobosky writes like he has been writing for years
Review: This book writin by Stephen Chobsky is a story that every teenager can relate to. Charlie is a freshman starting in High School and isn't one of the most popular kids in school. Throughout the story Charlie has to deal with many conflicts that him and his two good friends Sam and Patrick have gottin into.He deals with issues such as crushes, dating, sexual experiences, drug experiments, and all around teen -age rebeling.Even thought he isnt't the most popular kid in school he sees the would in a total wallflower point of view. This book related to my personal life because it made me see the quiet and shy peple in the back of your classin a total diffrent ways. It made me think that people even though they are quiet stil have they same issues and conflicts as other people. And never treat them any diffrently. If you like modern teenage books this is exactly the kind of book that you want to read! Order it now on Amazon.com!

Summary: Live the life of another teenage boy as he experiences it.
Review: An excellent book about a teenage boy and his experiences in life living on the edge. Read about the boys experiences about parties, drugs, and his own sexual experiences. I recommend this book to any teenager that can relate to party life and enjoy reading books in journal form. I'm not a regular reader and I enjoyed this book tremendously even though I am not an avid reader, but Steven Chbosky delivers a choc full of excitement in this story. So if you are a teenager I strongly suggest that you order a copy of "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" right now.

Summary: A Powerful Novel
Review: This book takes the reader inside a teen's mind, being a teen myself I found myself relating to various aspects of the main character. The story is powerful and will leave you wanting more. I didn't want the story to be over. The novel shows what it is truly like to grow up in this day and age. It expresses all of the many things we as teens are faced with. I was over joyed that finally an author has captured the true nature of the American Teenager. I was amazed at how much of the book I related too and how much of it was just outstanding. I found myself laughing and almost crying. It well worth your time and energy. This book will change you forever, I promise you that.

Summary: There are ALWAYS Perks
Review: I am a 15 year old fresman from St. Petersburg, FL and I havegot to say this book made me breathless. I am very critical when itcomes to authors, actors, whatever portraying kids my age because 99% of the time it is completely unnacurate and insulting. For the first time I am just amazed by how accurate this really is. Especially how well it portrays the punk genre. So many times we are portrayed as "freaks" and the teenie-boppers are shown as the civilized students. I have found that's not the case at all. A friend of mine from school loaned the book to me (after it had previuosly been passed to 6 other people)and i read it in a couple of hours. I was so moved, It read it once more before passing it onto more friends. This book really is a work of art. I can't say anough good about it. I strongly recommend that you look into it, if you are mature enough to handle what you will find.

Summary: Drugs, Sex and Mix Tapes
Review: Drugs, sex, mix tapes and crying all point to a character created by Stephen Chbosky of the name Charlie. In The Perks of Being a Wallflower a teenage boy seems to live through high school leading a very radical life, unlike that of any typical student of his age. Charlie's best friends introduce him to drugs. The person whom he loves the most abuses him. Charlie has never experienced the good side of life he is always depressed and happy only for the others other than himself. There is no one to whom Charlie can talk to. His sister is busy, brother is in college and he does not wish for his parents to know of what he has done. The only way Charlies finds to escape life is by becoming one with the grass, trees, sky and the air. A horrible life led by a disturbed person.
