Summary: AMAZING! Held you interested the WHOLE time
Review: This book was so amazing. I don't know why but one day at the library I saw a book called Stephanie: Heart of Gold....weird as I am I took it thinking a book with the same name as me would be good. I was hooked right after I read that book. I checked out more and more books by Cameron Dokey. She's an amazing writer...the romance she talks about it's so close to what teenagers face. This is definatly a young adult novel. It is mysterious, romantic, and also sad. Crying may be an option that will happen sooner or later. But it's worth reading it, the book is amazing.

Summary: A Interesting read.
Review: This book was very catchy. I read it in a day. It isn't one of those books that you read and it teaches you nothing. I had never really heard of the washington avalanche, so it was interesting to me and I learned something. The story was about a girl about to turn 18 named Virgina [called Ginny] and when she does turn 18, her brother has something horrible planned. She runs away from her step-brothers house a few months before she turns 18 to escape her cruel fate. When she get's on the train a girl about her own age helps her hide. They become friends and find out that they both have the same name! ginny's new friend is coming out west to marry a man she knows nothing about, but made a death bed promise that she would. ginny and Virgina decide to switch places, so Virginia can check out her fiance from a distance and Ginny can stay hidden from her brother. But when "Virginas" fiance arrives on board ginny is swept off her feet. The same with him! But ginny has to tell him the truth. But now the passengers on the train are threatened by the brutal snow storm and threatening avalanche. This was a great book. I was kinda disapointed on what ginny does in the end, but hey, what's a good book without a few mistakes?! Over all it was still good and I would recomend it.

Summary: A MUST READ!
Review: This is a great book by Cameron Dokey. It spins together mystery, romance, and so much more. It is a definite must read. I couldn't put it down...read this book.

Summary: Must Read
Review: This is a spectacular book about two women who meet on a train. One of these ladies is running away from her uncle, and the other is going to meet her fiancé in Washington. She's never met him eye to eye. These two ladies names are Virginia and Jenny.
Virginia and Jenny decide to switch places. This is because Virginia's uncle wants to kill her. Jenny's getting could feet so she's not sure if she wants to marry her fiancé. The catch is nether of the men no what they look like. When Virginia meets the fiancé they fall in love instantly. There's still a bigger problem one that can tear their love apart. It happens when they meet on the train again with the uncle. You should read this book because it's very thrilling and exciting.

Summary: Conflicting feelings on the book
Review: This is the story of two girls: Virginia and Ginny. They look alike and both come from tragic and difficult backgrounds. Ginny is running away from her step-brother to start a new life in Seattle, and Virginia is on her way to marry a man she has never met. Virginia helps Ginny escape her brother, and Ginny wants to return the favor. So...Ginny agrees to pretend she is Virginia and meet this "Nicholas" guy (Virginia's betrothed) and pretend that Virginia is her best friend. This way, Virginia can check him out and make sure he's fit to be a husband. However, there is chemistry between Nicholas and Ginny, and Ginny can't find it in her to tell Nick the truth.
Virginia, of course, is furious, because Nicholas is a great guy, and he's HER fiancee. What will Nick do when he finds out the truth (which he's bound to find out!). Plus, all this is happening on a train that's stranded in the middle of a snowstorm, and all the passengers might very well die anyway!

Truth to tell, this book was a fun read. It was quick, fast (including the beginning), and cute. If you really want to read a book that's historical, I wouldn't recommend this book. Realistically, you aren't going to see literary elements or historical detail in this book. You're not going to learn anything from themes or anything. I mean, this isn't that type of book. I don't think it was meant to be. But that isn't why I gave it 4 stars.
The reason that I took away 1 star is because of Ginny. She's not exactly the best main character. After all, she takes Virginia's betrothed away from her. Plus, she makes a bad decision in the book in a desperate attempt (which I'm not going to give away).
The book was a good read, but if you are looking for historical romance, read Ann Rinaldi. Her audience is more geared towards younger readers, but her books "teach" more and are (in my opinion) more original. From this series, the only other one I have read is Hindenburg. I recommend it over Washington Avalanche, though the ending is sad. If you like Dokey, I recommend highly The Storyteller's Daughter.
