Summary: Get a Clue
Review: Alright! I just wanted to take a moment to say that I've been going to raves for almost three years and I am astounded by the things described in this book. So someone did a little research and I stress A LITTLE and learned a small amount of the lingo and that makes them an expert on the raver lifestyle? This book is totally geared toward the naive Christian youth and is naturally going to be used to instill fear in them. I for one, have never seen people using needles of any kind at a party and I have never seen anyone die. I know that it happens but that's usually only because the person who died was being stupid about the drugs they took. And, there is always someone of official stature around. They are called the Peace Patrol and they are always around to help a raver in need. It would be no problem to find someone to get help in the event of an emergency. You know, I started this to get the point across that raves are not what this book cracks them up to be, however, since there is a word limit I am not being left to do this. I just suggest this to anyone who is going to read this: Not all ravers are druggies. Not all raves are dangerous. Open your mind and don't be afraid. Sometimes dancing all night can be as refreshing to one's soul as is a nice Sunday morning spent in church.

Summary: Couldn't put it down!!
Review: I agree with the reviewer from Williamsport. This book badly and misrepresents the Rave culture. I had encountered people who had died, but it was because they had drowned in the sea. The point is, there is a perspective of these raves as something entirely evil, with young people going off to get high. I have been to about 30 raves in the past year, and I am new, but from what I have encountered in EVERY rave, is yes, a general consumption of narcotics but a culture that is devised on peace and respect (or the infamous saying, Peace Love Unity and Respect - P.L.U.R.)... I think the author should have truly done some actual research, for instance, stay and have gone to over 10 raves, because the author would have found a greater understanding of what a rave truly is. The consumption of drugs, also, is absolutely biased. There are those who do consume drugs, others, such as myslef do not. I have not consumed any drugs since the last 10 raves, and I believe it is more rewarding. In any case, the book should have gone more indepth with the Rave culture, done more research, even do some interviews, because, again I agree with the reviewer from Williamsport, this book is basically to scare of the naive and ignorant.

Summary: very good
Review: I found this to be an excellent book. There seems to have been a lot of research put into this novel. The person that wrote that other review seems to be a little convicted. There are so many deaths, directly or indirectly, linked to raves. Armed with just a search engine I was able to find dozens of news articles relating to the deaths of ravers. So it seems as though the guy that wrote that other review is just oblivious to the fact that raves really can be dangerous, and in some cases, deadly. I commend the author of this book. It was very interesting and very informative. I highly recommend this book to everyone.

Review: This is a surprisingly great book. The cover of the book caught my eye and I read the first few pages in the store I was in and just had to get it. This is very surprising since I really dispise reading. I finished the book in a very short amout of time and I went out to find the books that came along with it.

Review: Whatever you do, don't start reading this book . . . unless you plan to finish it in one reading. It's excellent!!

As for the whiners who have spent far too much time stoned at rave parties to be objective about the problem, I say take off your glo-stick, remove the pacifier from your mouth, come up for some fresh air and get a clue.

Even Oprah and Dateline have featured in-depth stories on the widespread abuses in the rave scene. No question, this is a well-researched book that's right on target. LaHaye and DeMoss not only deliver the goods, they've created a page turner worth every penny.

My favorite characters were Reverand Bud and those two BAAAAAD Russian dudes. DeMoss and LaHaye are All the Rave in my book!
