Summary: "I LAUGH IN THE FACE OF DANGER.....then hide till it's gone"
Review: In order to understand the entire buffy novels, one needs to understand Xander. This book details probably the most intimate things anyone will be able to get with the character. From his feelings for his best friend Willow to chrush unfulfilled Buffy, dating and romance in Sunnydale is truly humerous.....for Xander it's the most harzardous thing to do. Full of laughs and deep thought,to understand buffy, you need to understand why she does'nt just crumple from the pressure of slaying. Because Xander will always be there...laughing at the world.

Summary: Xander's satire slays me!
Review: Just like on the TV show Xander delivers scarcasm and humor that only he can do. He tells 3 tales of his strange supernatural romance (Teachers Pet, Inca Mummy Girl, and Bewitched Bothered and Bewildered)and proves that Buffy isn't the only one with a twisted life. I liked reading about Xander becasue he's pretty much the typical male, except a whole lot wittier, and the occasional vampire slaying. I reccomend this to any Buffy the Vampire Slayer and/or Xander fan!

Summary: Xander's the Best and so is this Book!!!!!!!!!!
Review: Not only is Xander funny, cool, and crazy on the show but now his wackyness is contained in a book! In the book there are three stories, Teacher's Pet,Inca Mummy Girl, and Bewitched,Bothered, and Bewildered. Three stories of Xander's crazy love with the unhuman, undead, and the unusually nerve wracking. In all it's a great book. Read it. The more Xander fans the better.

Summary: I laughed, I cried (well from laughing)
Review: Only recently have I become a buffy fan (but boy, when I fall I fall hard) This was the first buffy book I read, but it was definately worth it! Especially the last story Bewitched Bothered and Bewildered made me laugh so much I have the stiches to prove it. This book made me stop thinking Xander was boring. Definately a must to read for any buffy fan!

Summary: The Xander Years? Try the Xander CURSE. (Poor Kid)
Review: The love life of Alexander Harris is not exactly great as the three Buffy the Vampire Slayer episodes novelized by Keith R. A. DeCandido in "The Xander Years, Volume 1" prove in excrutiating detail. This initial look at Xander's person Gordian knot provides the following trips down memory lane from the show's first two seasons:

"Teacher's Pet," in which Xander almost falls prey to a sexy substitute teacher who turns out to be a She-Mantis. In "Inca Mummy Girl" Xander finds love at last with a foreign exchange student who is really a, well, Inca Mummy Girl (and a Princess!) brought back to life who needs to drain the life force out of people from time to time to surive. The best of the lot is "Bewitched, Bothered & Bewildered," where Xander gets dumped by Cordelia and has Amy Madison cast a love spell. The course of true love or spells by teenage witches never goes smoothly and so Coredlia is the ONLY woman in Sunnydale not affected by the spell. Joyce and an ax-wielding Willow fight over Xander is certainly a memorable moment. (Note: Buffy spends most of the story as a rat because that was the week Sarah Michelle Gellar was hosting Saturday Night Live).

You have to say one thing for Xander. If it wasn't for bad love the boy would have no love at all. He might be the comic relief for the Scooby Gang, but as everybody who was repeatedly shot down by the girls in high school can readily attest, there is a pathos to his character. There will certainly have to be other volumes in this series, which will hopefully include his bright shinning moment in "The Zeppo" as well as his troubles with Anya. Since these are novelizations of the original teleplays for these episodes, this book only gets four stars. You cannot get five stars for a Buffy book unless it is an original work like "The Gatekeeper Trilogy." Sorry, but these are the rules. You can look them up.

Summary: A fun novelization of three great episodes
Review: THE XANDER YEARS is a novelization in the same vein (pun intended) as THE ANGEL CHRONICLES -- prose versions of three episodes of BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER, in this case episodes focusing on Buffy's lovelorn friend Xander Harris. The episodes include "Teacher's Pet" (gorgeous substitute bio teacher turns out to be a praying mantis), "Inca Mummy Girl" (gorgeous exchange student turns out to be a 500-year-old murdering mummy), and "Bewitched, Bothered, and Bewildered" (Xander casts a love spell on Cordelia that backfires rather spectacularly).

It was great fun to take these episodes and flesh them out a bit. I have every confidence that that fun will also be felt by the reader. Enjoy!

Summary: Teenage Love in the Hellmouth Never A Dull Moment
Review: This book is a novelization of three episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The first Teacher's Pet is a homage to the big bug movies of the late fifties. Inca Mummy Girl revives the curse of the mummy and Bewitched, Bothered & Bewildered explores the magic of love. In each story Xander falls in love with dire consequences. His heart is pure and his intentions good but the results are both frightening and humorous. I recommend this to all Xander fans. It could be a dating manual for the new century.
