Rating: Summary: Wow! Review: This book was simply amazing, Voight has done a miraculous job, I am speechless...Elske was such a great character, so innocent and daring, she cared little for her own safety but worried for Beriel as her own child...Beriel was also an amazing character she was so strong defeating her brother and as the epilouge said going on to do so many things..."Elske" talked about "ruin" and made me realize how apparent it probably was in the midevil times. I must comend Voight on her descriptive writting..because of Elske's sheltered upbringing she did not know such things as an apple or a book or mirror, leaving Voight to describe them, this was an amazing talent that I would be honered to attain..... But one thing does leave e up in the air....How much of this story was true and how much fiction? I wonder, if the towns are real, and the Volkaric really exsisited I shall be highly interested in their history....I can only ponder the possibilities...
Rating: Summary: A Fabulous Fantasy... Review: WOW! Definitely a one-night read, that will leave you feeling absolutely satisfied. Elske was a fabulous story. It combined Cynthia Voigt's teriffic writing with a clever feminist plot which I loved. I recommend this book to anyone and everyone who loves fantasy.....READ IT!!
