Summary: Sweet book about love
Review: I'm an adult who read this book for a children's literature course I'm now taking. I found it to be a wonderful story about the love given to a young orphan girl, Summer, by older relatives Ob and May. It also told of the love between Ob and May and how Ob came through the grieving process. Although it's not filled with action, there is a story about caring and giving. May tells Summer, "You are the best little girl I ever did know." What a wonderful legacy for a child to have!

Review: I think that Missing May is a very outstanding and touching story. It is no suprise that it has won a Newberry Award. Everyone should read it. It grasps the heart of everyone.

Review: This book is about a young girl whose parents haD died when she was a young child. She has been passed around her family until May and Obe took her in,May died. It tells how the rest of her life is beginning.This book is great, it is a short book.It is enthusiatic; it shows you how to you lose some one special. it is an emotinal thrilling story. i liked may because she was sweet and kind always willing to do something for someone. that is why I like this book.

Summary: The sddest story I've read!
Review: May and Ob,husband and wife,took in their neice,Summer,when she was 6 years old. When May died, Summer and Ob have to find various ways to cope with the loss of such a wonderful person. I liked the book because my grandmother passed away recently and when I read it, I could relate to it and it is an excellent book for people who have lost loved ones. I liked Summer because she is my age and I can really relate to her.

Review: This is the umpteenth time I'm giving a review for Missing May because the rest weren't shown in the Customer Reviews section. I absolutely hated this book. Lifeless characters, a boring plot. The author should be embarrassed of having written such a horrendous piece of trash. The Newbery Medal was wasted on this thing. What is wrong with the committee who picks the Newbery books? The Newbery books are supposed to be nice books for children. If this is nice, I wouldn't want to know what bad is.

Review: I have just finished reading this book and I think it is wonderful. Great plot, you can feel the caracter's sorrow and triumph. I think that all negative are crazy. READ IT!!!!

Review: I am an eleven year girl and I loved this book so much that I reread it with my mother. It was so touching. It was so wonderful that Summer found a family who cared for her so much. The power of May's love heals Summer's lonely heart. I highly recommend it. The love of this book will make you cry with joy.

Summary: Um...Uh...not what I expected.
Review: After reading this book I found myself strangely dissapointed. By reading the back of the book I figured I had an excellent read on my hands. Well, I didn't. I definately didn't. The characters were undeveloped, (like paper dolls, flat.) and as soon as I started getting to know the characters, the book was over. In other words, it was much too short. You'd think a book so sad and touching(well, I think that was what the author was aiming for)would be a lot longer so you could start to feel what the protagonist(s) are feeling. Read it if you must, but only if you must.
