Summary: what happened?
Review: Aarrgh. What happened to the series I used to like? I am really sick of these "secret journal books". Did the whole SVU series just go away? And why did "Elizabeth" stop after the big reunion scene in #6? Anyway, Chloe's book was the worst of the lot. Totally unreal, totally stupid, too much makeup. And, all my local retailers stopped updating their Senior Year collections after #33. The entire world of SV is in disarray.

Summary: Secret Love Diaries: Chloe -- a review
Review: I bought and read all these diaries; this was the last of the series. First of all, most of the scenes are repeats of the Jessica diary. Secondly, almost every other sentence has the author promoting some designer clothing, makeup, or shoes...not that fashion isn't part of Sweet Valley, but with Chloe's books especially it seems like the whole book is an ad! Lacking plot follows Chloe when she is again chasing an uninterested (long-lasting serious interest) man...and ending in the same manner as the last numbered SVU book before the diaries.

Summary: okay i guess
Review: i dont even like chloe that much, i thought she was so annoying when she was in love with sam and now she's with tom? this girl needs to get a life! i so do not like the idea of liz going to london. It would be okay for a couple of books but i think people would start missing jess sam and neil and all the other people at SVU. The Liz series is a bad idea! i dont want to give away any more of this book, so i will say that if you are really an SVU fanatic, read it.

Summary: Dull, Dull, Dull...
Review: I have no idea what has happened to the SVU series and I don't know whether this pale imitation of what once used to be a great and interesting series is a joke or whether Francine and Laurie John (if that is a real person and not just a group of really bad writers who once used to be good) are torturing us by attempting to make the series 'hip'.

I mean, what is with the popular culture references every five seconds?? I knew I was going to hate the book just from looking at its front cover - that model looks like she belongs in a circus - that awful make-up makes her look like a clown.

Anyway, I decided to give the book a chance but, just from reading the opening page in which it was filled with dreadful pop culture references to 'cool' and 'It-girl' actresses such as Neve Campbell, Angelina Jolie and some others - I knew this book was going downhill.

Okay, I understand Francine wants to update all the series for the 21st Century but, that doesn't mean that she needs to turn each book into a 200-300 page advertisement for hair products, movie magazines, clothes stores, etc.

Also, what has happened to the characters - Denise, Winston, Isabella (bring her back!), Lila, Bruce, Nick (Jess + Nick = perfect couple) and many others. I'd rather Francine develop the old characters rather than introducing new ones just because she cannot be bothered to create more storylines for the old and more INTERESTING characters.

The new characters are one-dimensional and simply pale imitations of previous ones. Chloe = Lila, Val = Denise, Martin = Winston and so on.

[...]

Let's hope she takes notice of what fans have to say.

Avoid this stinker at all costs - it's not even a proper SVU book - just a poor man's version.

Summary: AWESOME BOOK!
Review: I think this was a really good book. It's so realistic, and young people can relate to it easily. I couldn't put the book down, it was so good. I read the whole book in a matter of hours.

Summary: It was nice
Review: I thought the story was sweet, in a kinda corny way. Chloe didn't get Tom, she found a nice guy who actually liked her for who she was. Chloe grew up a little in this book. She realizes that she has been a shallow person (her diary entries show that she definitely was shallow)and was selling people short. I have always thought Tom was a nice character until he became a football player (not that I have anything against the game, even watched the Super Bowl which was a massacre). Tom is a jerk in this story and Chloe is shown to be more mature. I hope there are more SVU books becuase it's a quick read and a no brainer which is what is nice after a long day.

Summary: At least
Review: it is okay. not as great as Jessica's Diary but okay. I am really happy that Liz and Tom aren't back together. I am also happy that Chloe and Tom are together. Now at least she has someone who would be her signifigant other. Tom is getting somewhat better. I can't wait till January when they start the London series involving London. Liz in London and completely independant without Jessica or Sam. Who,by the way, is such a jerk. Jessica should really think her plans through more carefully next time.

Summary: Alright
Review: Quite frankly the book was "alright". In my opinion it's better than all of Chloe's little (we wish they were shorter though) parts in the regular series combined. It didn't protray her as such a confused shallow person and kinda makes her seem more grown up in this book.
