Review: this book is a shining glory to what good writing can be. the book was amazing. I will first admit that i am not an adult so i cannot vouch for them but i will say that this book allowed for an almost inhuman amount of story telling and character scope. I have enjoyed the DL series for a good amount of time and i have only good words for this book, first of all those considering to buy this book do not even think twice you will not be dissapointed and i emphasize NO MATTER WHAT YOUR AGE. thank you

Summary: A great book for fantasy fans
Review: If you've read any of Weis and Hickman's other works (i.e. The Deathgate Cycle), then you probably know their prowess at writing enchanting novels that will hold any fantasy fan's attenetion. Dragons of Winter's Night is an addictive sequel to Dragon of Autumn twilight, and only serves to add exitement and intrigue to the story of Tanis and his companions. In the story, much is revealed about Kitiara's formerly shadowy character, but elaborating would ruin the story. If you haven't read Dragons of Autumn Twilight first, I'd suggest doing so, as it is the first book of this incredible series. I definitely recomment it for anyone with even a vague interest in such novels.

Summary: How old are you?
Review: I read this series in 7th grade, and although it was very entertaining, I don't see how so many adults can be captivated by its simplicity. The writing style is very basic, the charactars are 2 dimensional, and the entire plot is full of insignificant events. Overall this series seems like a Dungeons and Dragons game which has been transferred to novel form. I'd give it no stars if I could.

Summary: The second great book in the Chronicles Trilogy
Review: The Dragons of Winter Night was another wonder in the trilogy. My favorite part was the description of Skie, Kitiara's blue dragon. The companions journey to find the fabled Dragonlance and Dragonorb.

Summary: The best of the Trilogy
Review: Reading this book, I couldn't help but compare it to "Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back." The main hero, Laurana (think Skywalker) faces off against Kitiara (think Darth Vadar). The ending even topped the ending of the first book. And this book has some good moments, especially a land, Silvanesti, physically distorted by the nightmares of one man. Not to mention ice wall and the dragonorb. This is definately worth checking out.

Review: Once again, the dynamic duo of DragonLance known as Margaret Weis and Tracy Raye Hickman, have produced another outstanding book. DoWN lacks some of the fast paced action of the first chronicles book but makes up for that with plot thickening details leading up to what most people would assume, another great installment in the chronicles series!

Review: DoWN delves deeper into the darkness threatening to conquer Krynn; our heroes face horrors beyond belief, the forces of evil gain in power, and disturbing revelations threaten to tear the Companions apart. Weiss and Hickman continue masterfully to add depth and dimension to the characters and the fantastic world of Krynn. The beauty of the Dragonlance saga is that it's not just another "dudes with big swords fight a lot of ugly monsters" D&D rip-off - the war of the lance trilogies (Chronicles & Legends) are moving tales about the strength of the human spirit (or elven/dwarven/kender, etc.) set into an action-packed sword and sorcery setting.

Summary: Best of the series
Review: Just like Star Wars, the middle "episode" comes out the best... It's been a while since I read these books the last time (a couple years, I've read them 5-6 times total) but this was my favorite. The heroes from DoAT are split up, both on separate agendas, and the War of the Lance is heating up. Anyone who says this book lacks action must not have been reading the last, say, half of it, especially the battle at the High Clerist's Tower. all in all, the Dragonlance Chronicles and Legends were 2 of TSR's best series EVER, and this book is one of the best of those elite few...

Summary: Weis and Hickman at their best!
Review: This book is the reason the first one was written. It may not be as action-filled as some would like (though I think it is), but the introspection and interpersonal relations more than make up for it. Characters introduced in the first book truly become real here, and it makes the final book irresistable. This is my favorite of the series, and I strongly recommend it to any who simply stopped after the first book.
