Summary: This is a terrific book!!!.....
Review: As a continuation of the words that I have written before... I found it much more entertaining than the swill that is out there on the market right now; It mixes valuable information about the test with great humor. Not only did I read it for educational purposes but i read it for pleasure. I suggest that if you are looking for a more engaging way to study for the mean, mean tests given by the "Evil Testing Serpent" then this is the book for you!!!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Kick that Evil Testing Serpent to the ground!
Review: As a student in HIgh School, I know that I learned much more effectivly in classes that I was intrigued by. This certainly seems to be the case with the majority of other students as well. Learning should be fun and enjoyable and this book is certainly that. The commentary is whitty while being on task. My first SAT in 1993 was a 1080, after reading Up Your Score my 1994 score was 1300.

Summary: At last!!! An SAT review book that we can relate to!!!!!
Review: At last, a useful SAT preparation book tailored to the needs of today's teenagers!!!!!! Unlike some other books that were written by old folks who were born "before the invention of the #2 pencil," we can actually learn something from this one!! Although it doesn't have very many practice questions, it gives you all the tips you need and then some! One little quibble (good vocab word, by the way) that I have about this book is the recipe for "sweet and tasty 800 bars." Not only is eating prohibited in the testing halls, but there is also scientific evidence that sugar rots your brain cells, therefore defeating the entire purpose! The smarter thing to do would be to eat a wholesome dinner the night before (fish is always good brain food, but if you're a vegan, tofu will do), and to have a high-carb breakfast (I'm talking oatmeal, not doughnuts). Aside from their poor eating habits (like most teenagers), these authors were right on the ticket! The math and verbal tips were useful yet laughable (unlike what the adults say, all the stuff about sex and TV actually works!), and I'm also thankful for the book's method of preparing your SAT II essay in advance. The tips on concentration and relaxation were also really useful not just in the "three most torturous hours of one's high school career," but also in my own life. I especially liked the theme of personifying the ETS as an unfathomably long, malodorous, loathsome, odious, beguiling, deceitful serpent throughout the entire book- it made it seem more fun to outwit it, which the authors say is the key to acing the SAT. Overall, snaps to Larry, Manek, Paul, Michael, Hannah, and Adam on one of the greatest SAT review books in the history of today's teens!!!!!!!

Summary: Delicious Book
Review: Finally, an SAT book for teenagers written by people who were once teenagers. All the writers of this book scored above 1500 on their SATs and some even got perfect scores. This book provides information on the people who write the SATs, steps to prepare for the SATs, racial and gender biases on the SATS, and other things like how to sneak food to the SATs. I took the PSATs without looking at this book and earned a measley, lackluster 1440. I felt even worse when I was told of scholarship opportunities for scoring high on the PSAT. I am going to take the SATs in March and hopefully by reading this book, I will earn a 1500 or better like everyone in the book.

Summary: THE MOST ENTERTAINING ASPECT OF STUDYING FOR THE SAT!!!!!!
Review: From the minute I saw the cover, I knew I ws in for a good time. As soon as I opened that cover, I was not dsappointed. I couldn't put it down. Written in a savvy, sexy language only a teen can relate too, this book is the greatest thing ever to have the displeasure of being associated with the SAT. Keep it up guys, there are still more tests to come. I just wanna thank Larry and the guys, I am now a proud owner of a 1570, including an 800 on the verbal. Thans I couldn't have done it without this book.

Summary: Incredibly funny and helpful!
Review: Glancing around your local bookstore, you won't find many entertaining sat prep books. "Up Your Score," was recommended by a teacher at my high school and I have to say that I loved it. The writers keep you awake and interested with witty remarks and making fun of the SAT in general. If you don't want to study a whole lot for the test, just read this book and you will be ready. If you are planning on studying majorly, read this before the test and it will relax you and give you helpful hints.

Summary: EXTREMELY interesting and HILARIOUS
Review: Goodness gracious! You can't help but smile when you read this book. I mean, I'm only a freshman, and I've only taken the SAT and PSAT once, but I think that this will be a great preparation for my taking the test in May. It is so funny! I'm planning on getting 10 Real SAT's also, but this book will do my great good, I think. After taking the PSAT, I was told that the test doesn't always reflect the SAT. Thank God! I think that with that in mind and this book, I'll be ok in May. Thanks Manek, Joe, Michael, Larry, and Paul!
