Rating: Summary: Payback Review: After finishing reading book 6 "Revelations" I was like, the next book cant be as good. I was right. This wasn't one of the best books in the series. It left to many questions unanswered. I think that the series should be extended, because after reading this book, it still feels incomplete. Most of the strings were tied in the last book, and some were tied in this book, but not all of them. My two questions, 'Why did that counciler want to get to know Rae so well?' and 'Why did that teacher at Rae's school want to get to know Rae so well?', were never answered. Anyway, the gist of the book is:Yana was Rae's best friend, the person she trusted most. But Yana wanted Rae dead. Now that Yana is out of the picture, and can never try and hurt Rae again, Rae and Anthony start to have a relationship. Then they find out that Yana has escaped. Rae is scared that Yana didn't believe the truth about her mothers murder, and is going to try and kill her, again. But it seems like Yana believed the truth, and is going after the agency, and doesn't want anyones help. Will she be able to go after the agency, and live?
Rating: Summary: PAYBACK: Good...and bad... Review: At the end of the sixth FINGERPRINTS book, I thought, "Well, there, the perfect ending." But it wasn't the end. This seventh book, PAYBACK, was still to come. Considering that most of the threads were tied up at the end of #6, Melinda Metz did a wonderful job coming up with a new, compelling plot for the last book. Yana knows the truth about her mother's murder, and now she's going to make the agency who did it pay. But Yana -- and the reader -- have known from the beginning that the agency is big, and taking it on can't be done in a day. Simmilarly, the story can't be told in one book. While the book ends with a major victory for Yana and Rae, they both made it clear that it's not the end of their battle. I felt ripped off, mad...it was originally six books, extended to seven -- she needs ample space to continue the story. Rae and Yana's fight with the agency could very well have been the setup for another seven or eight books...
Rating: Summary: Loved It Review: I am 15 years old and it is hard for me to find a book that is intersting, however this book grabed my attention. The book is well writen and it is a suspensful teen romantic book. That is all i can say is that i love this book and series!!!
Rating: Summary: hmmm.... Review: I have read many books in my 14 years of being alive, but none of them ever struck me as "Fingerprints" did. Not even Harry Potter who was named one of the most suspensful and exciting books ever written. In my opinion. . . Harry Potter was a bore. Rae, Anthony, Yana and Jesse have kept me on the end of my seat and have caused me to get screamed at by my mom since i was still reading at 3 in the morning. They weren't silly and unrealistic like Sweet Valley where everyone has to have the perfect clothes, boys, and all that junk. "Fingerprints" are one of the best series i've ever read. the one thing that disapointed me was that Ms. Metz had to end the series so soon. And so abrupt. Questions flew through my head as i turned the last page in "Payback". I wasn't sure if it really was the end till now. I'll miss Rae and her ::fingerprint:: power. But i have one last question that strikes my mind. Mandy Reece's sister... doesn't she have powers too? Hm...

Rating: Summary: awesome!!! Review: I loved the last book in the series! It was so great! I totally fell in love with the characters and i was really waiting for Anothony and Rae to hook up! I could't put the book down once i started reading it. The series also took place where i live, Atlanta, Ga! i often go to Little Five Points so that was a big bonus! I would sit in my room and read it till 3 o'clock in the morning telling myself just one more chapter but i couldnt stop! The only thing that bothered me was the series ended leaving me so puzzled! I keep wondering, did Mandy and Jessie hook up? When does Sam die? Did Anthony and Rae ever marry? Are the gaurds that saw Yana and Sam escape come after them again!? She needs to make another book for me to be fully satisfied! But other than the ending, i totally LOVED the book! Fingerprints is my new favorite book series!
Rating: Summary: Once again a book series with loose ends Review: I read the first book of this series a couple weeks ago and was charmed by it's innocent and playful youthfullness. The storyline was fun and the characters were attractive, which was mostly what kept me interested reading the next six books in the series. As I read each book I kept my fingers crossed that the last book would tie up all the loose ends, but I was diappointed as I ran out of pages and the seventh book ended. The noisy english teacher and the pushy group shrink were never explained really, but just dropped out of the story abrubtly. Mandy's older sister Emma, who was implied to be a full blood sister to Mandy never developed powers and that was never explained or touched on. A few other dumb situations took place through out the series that had me saying "oh pah-lease" - Like why didn't they call Rae on her cell phone when Yana was holding her in the cabin? How did Anthony pass the placement tests at the prep school when he didn't know how to read? And the fake ID's they bought on their roadtrip said they were 19, so how would that help Anthony buy beer when he was in that bar -Not that he had to use it, but he mentions keeping it on reserve. Then there was the cheesy other stuff like how would Anthony keep finding Aiden if the government couldn't find him? And of course the final disappointment was when it all ended leaving you wondering which government people lived and which ones died???? And it also leaves you wondering who is getting in trouble with the police for taking the center down??? I guess overall it was a good series, but it just ends leaving you feeling unsatisfied and unsure.
Rating: Summary: ThiS sErIeS iS ThE bEsT eVeR! Review: I started this series in June/July of 2001. I loved them but only purchased the first 2 books. After finishing them in a few weeks I got books 3&4. I read them and loved them! I really got into the whole RaeAnthony situations, her powers, and Yana! Last week while I was out on break I got 5,6,and 7. I have now read 1,2,3,4,5&6, and Im about to finish 7! These are the best books I have ever read. But i can tell that the series needs to have more the 7 books. I have been connected with ALL the characters and couldnt put the books down! Raes' powers are awesome and the whole Marcus/Anthony thing is awsome too!! (I always hoped Anthony and Rae would be togther!) And when you find out who wants to kill Rae, that's even suprising! These are the best books I have ever read, and when I finish them it's guna be like loosing a BEST FRIEND! I definetly would suggest these books to anyone! They are awesome!! (Note to Author:MAKE MORE BOOKS!!)
