Rating: Summary: A thrilling sequal to "Last Wish"-full of shocks & surprises Review: "Aftershock" is one of the best SVH books yet! The book is full of suspense and excitement- a have-to-read book for all Sweet Valley fans.
Rating: Summary: A Sweet Valley High Never to Forget Review: Aftershock takes you back to all the Sweet Valley High memories, the Dari Burger, the Wakefield home, and most of all, Olivia Davidson. While Elizabeth struggles to remember the earthquake, Jessica tries to forget it. Jess is haunted by her dreams of 12 year old Alyssa. Ken is heartbroken over Olivia, and Enid is convinced that it was Devon Whitelaw who saved her. This book is a must read for SVH fans.
Rating: Summary: An AMAZING Sequel to Earthquake, Suspensful, Exiting,AWESOME Review: An amazing sequel to Earthquake, this book goes all the way. If you like suspensful, amazing books, this is for you!! A definate two thumbs up!!! READ THIS BOOK!!!!!
Rating: Summary: IS OLIVIA BACK FROM THE DEAD? Review: I haven't read this book yet (though I've read Earthquake) but I have just one thing to say: WHAT IS THIS ABOUT OLIVIA BEING ALIVE IN SVU? That was about the first thing I noticed when I read the synopsis for this book. HOW CAN SHE STILL BE ALIVE IN SVU? It's impossible, and I think I may e-mail Francine Pascal and find out why that happened! I completly agree with the other reviewer! WIERD!!
Rating: Summary: less suspenseful than I hoped Review: I loved the first two books in this series, but I felt that this one was slow and banal- surprising for such a dramatic subject! Sometimes I think Kate William would be better off writing only two books in a series rather than three. I really doubt that she would lose the interest or business of any of her readers. I also felt that Devon's reaction was relatively realistic, but somewhat unnecessary. Now he comes off as a misanthropic sociopath. That was very disappointing. Maybe Todd and Elizabeth could have gotten back together without Devon's disgrace being necessary.
Rating: Summary: Best Sweet Valley Book Yet Besides Eathquake! Review: I loved this book this was the third Sweet Valley book to make me cry. Olivia's death was so sad and at her funeral everyone said such wonderful things about her. For all the other people who wrote reviews and were wondering why Olivia becomes reincarnated I think I have an answer for you. SVU #8 was written almost four years before SVH Eathquake and Aftershock. Obviously Francine Pascals had not yet decided to kill off Olivia so she wasn't dead. There are a lot of descrepencies between the series. You really have to read SVH and SVU as if they weren't even related. Or else you'll go out of your mind. So I agree Francine Pascals should keep better track of her characters but it wouldn't really be Sweet Valley with people coming back to life every now and again now would it? (Hint William White, Nicholas Marin, Christian Gorman, and now Olivia Davidson.) This two part mini series was the perfect way to end Sweet Valley High the Senior Year is even better. As long as I can read about the twins I will pleased. Long live Sweet Valley in any shape size or form! And a little ghost every now and then isn't gonna bother me!
Rating: Summary: THIS BOOK WAS THE BOMB. Review: I THINK THIS IS THE BEST SVH BOOK I EVER READ. I EVEN CRIED AT THE END. DEVON IS SUCH A LOSER. WHY DIDN'T HE JUST TELL LIZ THAT HE DIDN'T SAVE HER LIFE ? I HOPE TODD AND LIZ DON'T GET BACK TOGETHER NEVER BECAUSE LIZ IS A A VERY BAD GIRL. OH, AND ANOTHER THING YOU SHOULD BRING BACK DEVON IN ONE OF THE SVU BOOKS JUST TO SEE HOW TOM WILL FEEL IF DEVON STOLED ELIZABETH'S HEART.
Rating: Summary: WOW...... Review: I was hooked. It was so sad to read about Olivia being laid to rest. I also felt so bad for Jess because of all the guilt that she was going through, especially after what had happened with Alyssa. Devon just made my blood boil, I'd always hated him ever since he came into Sweet Valley and started acting like he owned the place. He also treated Jess like dirt. I am so glad he's left SV in fact, I have no idea why he was introduced in the first place. The ending was kind of sad, especially now that there are going to be no more SVH books being written but, I have heard that SVH Senior Year is actually pretty good. Oh well...sob, sniff....R.I.P. Sweet Valley High (and Olivia, Ronnie and Alyssa)
Rating: Summary: Aftershock: a heartwarming series ender of junior year Review: I've bought aftershock after I've got the first two books:last wish & earthquake. This book exemplifies the struggle of all characters as they face a disaster that will change their lives forever. I find the book heartwarming because the characters takes a look back on the past-the love, friendships and their trials. This shows the strong bond between the Wakefield twins-Jessica & Elizabeth and their love for their family and friends. I highly recommend this book to the other readers not only for entertainment purpose but also for a guide through teenage life as well.
Rating: Summary: I enjoyed reading this book Review: It was a sad and exiciting book with death and love.
