Summary: A great book written aboout friendship.
Review: A great book written about friendship. Racism between the native American and an African American is the main point of this book.

The main character Buck is my favorite character in the book because the author "Suzzane Fisher Staples" created him as a clever and brave boy. Buck tried his best to help his friend Tunes, an African American, to get out of the trouble but he didn't make it. The reason was human racial prejudice. The racism between the black people and white people let Tunes get into the jail.

The book had a lot of funny and sad things happend. Including crime and human nature, let my emotion followed the characters up and down. When Buck and Tunes went fishing and hunting together, those setting had vivid in my mind. Although Tunes didn't kill anyone, she was accused by white men and put into jail, and the friendship between her and Buck was forceibly stopped. I could almost remember all the things happened in the book the story hooked me so much.

When I looked at the cover page of this book, I thought that is would be so boring, but when I stared reading the book, I felt really interesting and I loved it so much. I recommend it to all tenagerous who would like to read more aboout friendship and racism.

Summary: Growing up is hard to do
Review: After reading "Shabanu: Daughter of the Wind", I was anxious to read another of Suzanne Staple's books, and she didn't let me down. Besides the normal problems associated with growing up, Buck and Tunes also face the possibility of Tunes going to jail for the murder of Jorge. Buck's undying trust and tenacity to prove that Tunes is innocent leaves the reader turning the pages and rooting for both Buck and Tunes. This is a wonderful book to explore race relationships and growing up with middle grade to high school students.

Summary: Dangerous Skies
Review: Although this is the first novel I have read by Susan Fisher, it is categorized as one of the top 10 books I have read. She is able to generate the feelings of the characters within you and make you feel as if you were them. Here is an example from the book, " I snatched my hand out from under hers and flung myself into the farthest corner of the front seat. I looked out the window, all atwitch with nervous energy. As angry and frightened as I was, I felt as if pure adrenaline pumped through my veins." (p.112). The book shows an example of a heartbreaking friendship between two people from different worlds. Buck and Tunes, Buck being white and Tunes being black, having been raised since infancy, they take a tumble into the real world and find out that it its more than they assumed it was. This is a sad and very powerful story.
The initial message I was receiving from the book and its author was that if your in a realtionship of any kind, there will be someone to help you when u have lost all faith or need help. Even if you don't want help its not your choice, a good friend will help u no matter what. I would defiantly agree with this message because I have found that in my life when I needed help but I didn't want it, my friends still came through and helped me anyways. You may or may not agree with this theme depending on the type of relationship you have with friends. The reason why is because if you have a poor relationship with your friends, they may not be there to support you. So you may not be able to relate to the message of the author or agree with him. I know I certainly agree with her message.
I would recommend this book to others who are searching for a novel that will satisfy their needs for a great book. This book is not boring like other novels. I admire the way the book jumps to the climax within the second chapter of the book, it wont keep u waiting for the climax to arrive. So if you are looking for a exciting well written, heartbreaking book, this is the one you have been searching for your entire life. I would give this book a 9 out of 10, that is how much I cherish this book.

Summary: Friends
Review: Dangerous Skies is a story that is mainly about two boys that live in the middle of the 1700's. One of the friends is white and the other one is black so they have a lot of disagreements and they spend much of the story trying to figure things out. One of the people lives on a farm and does a lot of work on it. The other one is black so they get a lot of discrimination and stuff like that. I do not really like this book because it was really boring and it had no point. If you want to fine out what happens in the end you should read the book.

Summary: An Excellent Book!
Review: Dangerous Skies is an extremely powerful, disturbing story about friendship, racism, and betrayal. It is impossible to put down and impossible to forget. Although many people complain about the book's final paragraphs, I saw them as a way of showing that life goes on even after such tragedies. In all, this book is excellent and very moving. I had the opportunity to meet Ms. Staples at a festival in Youngstown, OH, and told her personally how much I enjoyed her book.

Summary: This is a powerful, gripping, deeply troubling story.
Review: Dangerous Skies is compelling reading. I wanted to read to the end as soon as I started. The characters were fascinating and will stick with me, particularly Kneebone, Tunes' father. Good does not triumph over evil in this story which is more true to life than most juvenile fiction. I highly recommend this book to anyone who cares about issues of justice and racial prejudice.

Summary: Awesome Book
Review: Dear readers, This book is awesome!
I liked this book because it teaches you a lesson to be kind to one another.
The charactor Mr. Rawlin is as mean as he can be! He wasn`t ever really kind to his wife or anyone he met. That is why no one likes him!
Buck and Tunes were the best charactors in the whole book! They lived in a tree for one or even two days including one night!!!

Summary: Dangerous Skies
Review: I enjoyed reading this book. It was somewhat like a mystery and the characters were interesting. The book deals with the subject of prejudice which is something I don't agree with. I think Tunes and Kneebone were treated very unfairly and Tunes is never fully believed. Jumbo represents evil in the story while Buck and Tunes represent goodness. I was very surprised by the ending. I would recommend this book for readers between the ages of 11-14.

Summary: Dangerous Skies the book that got me going
Review: I gave Dangerous Skies four stars because sometimes it doesn't have enough excitment, like when thier talking back and forth. The other parts are great, like when Buck had to find out who did the murder Rowlen or Tunes. It seems like sherif did it for a while, in my opinion. I think you will like the book Dangerous Skies because you can't put the book down, I started the book and I didn't want to stop. I haven't read any other boks bt Suzanne Staples.

Summary: Good Book
Review: I like this book very much. It shows the innocence of children while showing the reality of society. This book isn't the kind of book with a corny ending that dosn't satisfy anybody and I really like it. I must admit though the author could have done a better job writing the story. The beginning was kind of dull, but read it anyway.
