Rating: Summary: The Logic Explained Review: Book #17-"Whatever" was an okay addition to the Sweet Valley Junior High series. I usually can't stand Lacey because of how rude and heartless she is. Even to the people who care about her(i.e. Penelope and Kristin) But in this book, Lacey's actions are somewhat explained. Her flightiness and rudeness are a direct root from her mother! I have to say that Sonia is more of a bitch than Victoria! Another pleasing aspect of this book is the fact that Lacey's stepmom and father really do care for her and love her. But to tell truth, towards the end of this book where the readers find out Lacey is moving to New York with her mother, I was actually happy! Lacey's moving away could have opened up oppurtunities for Kristin and Jessica's friendship to blossom. But in the very end, Lacey's deciding to be more polite and less snobby made me glad she was staying. And who knows-maybe she and Jessica will become friends? The side stories in "Whatever" were not so pleasing on the other hand. I found the story of Elizabeth and Blue very lame. I mean who says radical? Enough said. Kristin and Bethel's story was okay, though. I hate how they are always fighting and making up, however. I didn't miss Salvador at all in this book because his character is so creepy. But to all you Salvador-fans out there I'm sure his absence will be explained in the next few books. Damon and Anna I did miss though. I'm glad Anna has become a budding actress for I can relate to her more now, where about 10 books ago I hated hearing her go on, and on, obsessing over everything. Damon is just fabulous! He is what every girl wants in a guy-sweetness, sensitivity, looks, charm, and a soft-spot! I really hope in the next few books he and Jessica get more serious. On a more serious note, I belive that the writer of the Sweet Valley books, Jamie Suzanne, should lay off on all the smoking in this series. In this book, smoking was mentioned in almost every chapter! Kristen who is supposed to be Lacey's BEST FRIEND says it doesn't bother her! If she cares so much about Lacey's well being, she shouldn't ignore her smoking habit. I'm pretty sure the writer probably smokes herself and is just trying to make it look glamorous. Not once in any of these books is smoking condemed. I mean how stupid can you be! Smoking kills millions and millons of people each year! I wish you braindead people would get that through your head! As much as I am trying not to preach here, I have to! Miss Suzanne, I hope you know that teens do not read this series, that 8,9, and 10 year old girls are and YOU are putting ideas that smoking is glamourous into their heads! Shame on you! I hope if you do smoke, you die of a horrible tobacco-related disesase as many of these young girls will by reading your "trashers"! I can't belive I even read this!
Rating: Summary: All of the Sweet Valley Jr.High Books Are Great! Review: Hey! This is a Great book, compared to #16, which is veryawful,if I do say so myself. But you have to buy this book, even ifyou have no clue what it's about.
Rating: Summary: One of the best books from the seris Review: I always get these books in the mail or at a bookstore. This one I was really exctied about snice Lacey would meet her mom, her real mom. Then they never talked about Salvador. Even though Elizabeth did meet a new guy named Blue. Who was crushing on her. And whom she was crushing on. But all I wanna know about this situation is what's up with Blue and Elizabeth. And what Salvador would think about this. It is very intersiting that she decided to add a new charactor and make him crush on Elisabeth. But it's a GREAT book a I say you get it, LIKE RIGHT NOW!

Rating: Summary: It Was Pretty good...I guess Review: If you like Lacey Frells, this book is for you. It's mostly about how her mom comes back for a visit and isn't exactly like what Lacey thought she'd be. Lacey gets all excited when her mom invites Lacey to come live with her, then is broken hearted when her mom changes her mind at the last minute. Personally, I'm glad. As much as I don't really care for Lacey, I'm glad she's seeing what a horrible person her mom is and that she's headed down the same road. Meanwhile, Kristin and Bethel have a bunch of fights while trying to get the carnival set up. Both are leaders and it's still hard for Bethel to follow Kristin's commands... even though Kristin doesn't TRY to be bossy... Also, Liz is starting to hang with Blue and the volleyball groupie now, but when she tries to get the 'mellow' group organized, disaster strikes! I don't blame Liz for trying to get things together- if I were her, though, I'd seriously quit the team all together. I mean, she said she wanted to join the team to get to know new people, but all we've really heard about is Leaf and Blue. And I think Blue is pretty annoying- he was one character who shouldn't have been added, I think. Anyway, this was an okay book, but it's not necessary to read or anything. If you're a Jessica and Damon fan like me, you won't find ANYTHING about them (especially Damon) in 16, 17 and 18.

Rating: Summary: WHATEVER OR NOT? Review: IN THIS BOOK, LACEY HAS TO MAKE A BIG DESCISION. EVERYONE KNOWS HOW UNHAPPY LACEY IS AT HER HOME WITH HER FATHER, VICTORIA, AND PENELOPE. WHEN AN UNEXPECTED PHONECALL IS RECEIVED FROM HER BIRTH MOM, LACEY IS ALL EXCITED, BECAUSE SHE KNOWS SHE CAN GET AWAY FROM THE DUMP THAT SHE CALLS HOME. I WON'T SPOIL THE REST OF THE BOOK FOR ANYONE, BUT THIS BOOK SHOWS HOW LACEY HAS TO MAKE A BIG DESCISION, THAT CAN CHANGE HER WHOLE LIFE. IT ALSO SHOWS HOW HER DAD AND VICTORIA CAN PROVIDE A SECURE SHELTER UNTIL SHE'S READY TO GO OUT IN THE WORLD. WHO WILL IT BE? HER DAD AND VICTORIA? OR A GALMOROUS MOTHER WHO DOESN'T GET INVOLVED IN HER LIFE? FIND OUT IN WHATEVER.
Rating: Summary: Poor Lacey! Review: Lacey is my absolute favourite SVJHer. I like her because of her personality. In this book, Lacey's birth mother, Sonia, visits and she and Lacey spend some time together. Sonia invites Lacey to go to NY to live with her, and Lacey's all excited. Kristin's mother knew Sonia when she use to be a modal, and said that she's "flighty" and "makes her own rules". Then Sonia got a job offer, and backed out of their plans, which leaves Lacey hurt, but she tries to deny it. Maybe Victoria and Lacey will have a better relationship because Victoria sounded concerned and sympathetic at the end (not to Lacey, tho, she was talking to Kristin.).Also in the book, Blue is introduced. He's a surfer-type guy who's brother, Leaf, coaches the school volleyball team, which Liz joins.
