Summary: Good, but no Literary Masterpiece
Review: Now, don't get me wrong. The Two Princesses of Bamarre is a great book, but not something to be expected from Gail Carson Levine. I was very disappointed by this book, namely the ending. Now, I can't spoil it for you, but this book is nothing to write home about. What really puzzles me is that there are reviews for Ella Enchanted on the back of this book, not for The Two Princesses of Bamarre, which only goes to show you that Levine's debut novel is much better than this one.

So, if you're a hardcore Levine fan, go ahead and read this book, but otherwise, skip it.

Summary: Girls Rock!
Review: Who says that men are always the heroes? Well, in this book, that doesn't really exist. Princess Addie (Adeline) was the younger sister, is shy and scared of everything. Her sister, Princess Meryl, is just the opposite. Meryl wants to go out into the world to fight gryphons, specters, ogres, and dragons. Addie, on the other hand, wants to stay home. But when Meryl gets the Grey Death, Addie and her friend Rhys, a young sorcerer, sets out to find the cure and save her sister. On the way she meets specters, gryphons, and even a dragon, which delays the brave princess. What will happen to her? Will her sister die? Read this book and find out! I like this book because it is really exciting. I just can't put it down!

Summary: The Dragon Lady
Review: This book is about two sisters who are very different but very close. There's this fever going around called the gray death, that kills quickly. Meryl, the brave one, comes down with it, and Addie, the timid one, sets out to find the cure. Her journey leads her by dragons, specters, ogres, fairies, and others.
Addie, the herione is belivable, but you get so caught up in the story that you don't really pay attention to that sort of thing. Rhys is not quite so realistic, but still a pleasure to read about. And other characters, such as Bella, Milton, and Vollys add life to the story.
The first half of this book is good, with a short introduction period in the beginning. The second half is very good also, and keeps you at the edge of your seat.
I give this book 4.5 stars.

Summary: Another beautiful and charming story
Review: I sat in Barnes and Noble for an hour and a half this afternoon because I couldn't put this book down, but couldn't afford to buy it! (still in hardback) This is a lovely tale of two sisters - princesses, but also believable young women. Gail Carson Levine weaves the tale without letting it become dull or cliche. It didn't seem to be quite as elaborate a novel as Ella Enchanted, but wonderful nonetheless. Perfect for all readers.

Summary: I Love This Book!
Review: I may have been biased when I checked this book out of the library, thinking " Oh Gail Carson Levine! I love her books! " Even if you are not a fan of fantasy books, this one may get you hooked into reading more of the divine Mrs. Levine's books. They have creatures like fairies, dragons, and specters in them. This story is about two princesses who are sisters and happen to be best friends. Addie is afraid of almost everything and Meryl is brave and dreams of being a knight one day. The sisters make a pact to always stay together, no matter what. When Meryl falls ill with the Gray Death, the disease that killed the sisters' mother, Addie decides to find the cure and sets out in hope of finding it. This book will keep you on the edge of your seat until you read the very last page.
