Summary: The best book i've read all year!
Review: I bought this book in a bookfair our school had and it's amazing! The book kept me turning the pages and it has a dash of everything. Fantasy, realistic, poetry, adventure! The story line is excellent and the writing is too. I think this book is even better than Ella Enchanted which won a Newberry Award! This book is definetely the best book I've read all year. (I recommend it to readers 9 and up and you might disagree with me but i feel most girls will like this book more than boys. That's just my opinion though.)

Summary: The Two Princesses Of Bamarre
Review: I read this book The Two Princesses of Bamarre by Gail Carson Levine. I find this book very this interesting because it has a lot of stuff going on. When I read this book I didn't want it to end. Once i started reading it I couldn't put it down again.
This book is about a girl named Addie and her sister Meryl. Her sister Meryl caught this disease called the Gray Death. If you have Gray Death you can only live for 9 or 10 days. Addie wanted to save her sister and find a cure to Gray Death. On her journey ,she met with these different creatures such as, ogres, gryphond and elves and dragons. The rest of the story is for you to read.
I am sure once you read this book you would like to read other books by Gail Carson Levine.

Summary: The grey death~
Review: I read this book after looking at the cover. I saw it and I read the title and though it would be a good book.

I was right.

This book is about two Princesses (of Bamarre) Meryl and Addie. (I dont want to spoil the whole story away) but someone "they" love gets the "Grey Death" which is a disease that is not curable except if you find ... (read it and find out!)

So one of them goes on a quest and is faced with emotional mental and physical challenges (Especially those big monsters!)

The ending will warm your heart. :)

Overall: A definete read. This is an enchanting novel that will blow you away!

Summary: Excellent Story for Any Age & Very Well Read
Review: My daughter absolutely loved this story. We purchased the audiocassette and soon thereafter purchased the book. My daughter has listened to this story well over five times and she has read and re-read the book. The story is very well read by Lynn Redgrave. Redgrave made each character come alive with distinctly different voices and tones(a trait many audio-book performers can not do well). My wife and I have also listened to this story several times in the car without the daughter. One shortcoming -- no CD version of this audio book. A real bummer when we purchased a new car with only a CD player.

Summary: The Two Princesses of Bamarre
Review: This book wasn't all that great. Yeah sure, it had adventure, excitement and romance, all the things I love to read about when I pick up a book. But in this book, the adventure part was boring. The 'excitement' wasn't exciting. The romance part wasn't romantic. And really who cares about what Bamarre's hero did? I didn't like it. If Addie had gotten sick and Meryl was the main character, I might have liked it more. But probably not. I especially didn't want Addie to fall in love with or marry Rye. I didn't like him at all. And you can't even tell they're in love until the very end. Whenever I read romance books, I like those little tiny hints that make you totally see that they'll fall for each other. I think Addie needed someone to fall in love with to make it more interesting, and the only person that could be was Rye. This book was BORING!

Summary: The Two Princesses of Bamarre stirs some tears
Review: At first i was just reading it because Gail Carson Levine wrote it, but i soon realized i was reading it because it was a great book that had so many things to offer, it just couldn't be pasy up.
it all starts when addie (Adeline)meek and fearful and Meryl, brave and strong are princess sisters. though totally opposite, they love eachother with all there hearts. Meryl catches the grey death, a disease which no one survives, and addie must search for the cure. for her questr she receives a few gifts, from her close family and a new close fried, rhys, a sorcerer. then she is off, scared of what may become of her. she searches far and wide. time is short. can she do it, can she save her sister and survive herslef.
This book made me cry more than any book has ever done. for the last forty pages i whimpered, wailed, and sobbed. it has such a bitter, sweet ending.
this book is great. i love addie, meryl, and rhys! i recommend this book for any fan of fantasy or Gail Carson Levine, or even if you have never read one of her books pick up this one or ella enchanted.
LOVE THIS BOOK!

Summary: **The Two Princesses of Bamarre** Book Review
Review: The Two Princesses of Bamarre is one of my favorite books. The story is about two princesses who are totally different. Meryl likes to battle dragons and likes to read about a famous hero named Drault. Addie likes to sew and is scared of most anything. One day Addie sees Meryl in bed. Meryl tells Addie she has caught the Gray Death. The Gray Death is a dangerous disease that can cause you to die. Addie does not want her sister to die just like her mother did from the Gray Death. Addie decides to go on journey to find a cure for the Gray Death. A soccerer named Rhys tells Addie he will go on the journey with her. Addie and Rhys have many adventures together, but soon Rhys has to leave. Addie gets captured by a dragon and gets locked in the dragon's cave. Addie is terrified. Addie soon asks the dragon if she knows the cure for the Gray Death. The dragon gives Addie the cure, and Addie slips out of the cave. Addie runs back to her home to tell everyone the good news. Addie, Meryl, Rhys and some other towns people travel to the big lake. Addie tells her sister to run and drink some water. But it is to late. Addie cries because she knows her sister is dead. Addie then sees her sister in Drault's arms. Addie is so happy. Then Meryl comes to Addie. Meryl tells Addie she is now a fairy. Fairies don't get the Gray Death, but they don't have sisters either. Addie cries but at least her sister is alive. Rhys comes up to Addie and asks if she will marry him. Addie agrees and everyone lives happily ever after.I loved this book because every chapter was great. I recomend this book to everyone who likes to read.

Summary: A Must-Read
Review: This book is an amazing book. It teaches people two very important lessons. 1) Things happen and you should try to fix them, even if they seem hard. Lives may depend on you. 2) Find the courage in you. There's courage inside everyone, you just have to find it.
I couldn't believe how great this book was. Gail Carson Levine is an amazing writer and she shows it in this book. I couldn't put it down! I just kept asking myself, "What happens next?" so I read to find out. It was one of my favorite books.

Summary: I was caught off guard by its beauty!!!
Review: ONE OF MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITES NOW!!!!! ill say that i imagined this book was gonna be a light, bubblegummy(know what i mean?), entertaining read, a good fantasy that probably wouldn't cover much... but nothing deep, beautiful, and adventure filled. but let me say i was VERY surprised. It was an amazing fantasy, that was soooo much more enthralling then the young, innocent, girliness of the wish and miss levine's other books. The ones with predictable endings that dont really catch you off guard.. but leave you feeling rather "well that was a cute book". This is not that book. This is the book that you read when everyone else is asleep, with candlelight AND a box of tissues. I must admit i cried at the ending... it was beautiful, unexpected, and bittersweet. It was written with power that i did NOT expect. Just goes to show: you shouldn't judge a book by its cover.

I have read possibly just about EVERY kid/teen book... im serious... i started at about 8 and haven't stopped for six years. and this has made it to the favorites list of mine, along with harry potter, narnia chronicles, prydain chronicles, the arkadians, just ella, and others. buy this book and read it to your two daughters who may or may not relate... but will love it all the same. don't be surprised if they start pretending to be two princesses named "Addie" and "Meryl"... this book is perfect for any magical time alone or when you're reading to your daughters at night. If you love this like i know you will, also look at the WONDERFUL book "Just Ella". A continuation of Cinderella that has another very different "happily ever after".
