Summary: A Tale of Two Princesses
Review: Beautifully crafted, the story of two sisters as they are forced to fight for one of their lives. When teh braver of the two falls ill, her younger, frailer sister is forced to search for the cure to an illness that has plagued their fantasy country for centuries. Levine has a way with words, there is no denying it, and this tale will leav eyou thristing for more. Highly reccomended!

Summary: Great, but not As Great
Review: I thought that The Two Princesses of Bamarre was a wonderful book full of adventure and courage, but the ending was a bit unusual. It's not that bad, just a bit odd. I prefered Ella Enchanted much better. the romance was more alive, and the adventure was more believable. The two princesses didn't have the same adventure to it.

Summary: A great read
Review: Unlike many books with a "message", Two Princesses manages to be a great, non-preachy, fun-to-read book. The message (or the main message) is that even the timid must find the courage to fight for what's right and that doing so brings joy. I generally read everything my daughter reads, not only so I can discuss any troubling points with her, but also because I love childrens' literature. This one qualifies to be called literature, in my opinion.

Just as a matter of personal preference, I enjoyed Lerine's "Ella" more than I did this book (couldn't tell you why), but my daughter (9) tells me she liked them both the same. Loved, I should say. Looks like we'll be collecting all the Gail Carson Levine books we can get our hands on for a while.

Summary: Great Fantasy
Review: Gail Carson Levine returns in another fantasy just as good as her beloved newberry winning Ella Enchanted! In the Two Princesses of Bamarre Levine writes of two princess sisters who are just the opposite of eachother. Addie is shy, quiet, and afraid of spiders. Meryl is strongwilled, brave, and loud.
The male lead character is Rhys a beginner sorcerer who Addie has secret feelings for.

The story begins as the Gray Death, the most feared disease among all the citizens of Barmarre strikes Meryl. Addie can't bear to see Meryl die for there is no cure. She is frustrated that her cowardly father isn't brave enough to go and find a cure for her sister. So she sets out on a secret mission with tools given to her by her sister, the physician,Rhys, and her mother she sets out on a journey that she will always remember. Inspired by her hero, Drault, Addie encounters beasts, orges, sepctors, and the Dragon Volley whom her sister Meryl had wished to slay. Addie using advice from Rhys manages to get the cure out of Volleys. However she is trapped in Volleys den and time is running out for Addie!

This book was very enchanting. You would never be able to guess the ending. I think that was the best part of the book for it was really very creative and again enchanting!!

Summary: Absolutely Wonderful
Review: I loved Ella Enchanted, but I like this one even more! Both Princess Addie and Princess Meryl are well developed, and you get to know them like old friends. With this book, you get it all: romance, humor and action. Any book like that gets on my top ten list!

Summary: Two Devoted Sisters
Review: These two sisters are definitely not the same. Meryl is outgoing and always looks for adventure. She pretends to swing a sword and calls this game sword play. Addie, Meryl's sister, is shy and always tries to avoid adventure. One day Meryl promises Addie that she won't go on a quest to find a cure for the Gray Death until Addie is wed. Then a sursprise is waiting for everyone. Meryl, the sweet, wonderful Princess contracts the Gray Death. With the help of Rhys, a sorcerer, it is up to Princess Addie to face Ogres, Dragons, Gryphons and Spectors. By doing this, she may be able to save her sister so they can continue as THE TWO PRINCESSES OF BAMARRE.

Summary: MY FAVOURITE BOOK EVER !!!!!!!!!!
Review: The Two Princesses of Bamerre is my favourite book I ever read... yes, even more than Harry Potter, more than The Hobbit or The Lord of the Rings! It is about 2 princesses named Addy and Meryl. Meryl has always been the brave one and Addy the scared one, but one day Meryl gets the Grey Death. Addy goes looking for the cure and meets some things that she doesn't want to on the way; a troll, a spector and a dragon. The book has a veeeery unexpected ending. You'll LOVE it!!!
