Rating: Summary: Awesome... what now? Review: Okay, so the book was *fantastic*, and the horsey stuff was more accurate then it is in some other horse series, but where is it going now? It can't just be ended there! I mean, eventually the Saddle Club books have to stop (because the characters can't stay 12 forever!!) and if Pine Hollow ends here... what's left?? How are we to know what happens to the characters for the rest of their lives??
Rating: Summary: most of u dont seem to like pine hollow so read heartland Review: Since this new series called pine hollow has come out, most of u don't seem to like it because it focuses too much on romance and everything else then on horses. I myself have not read any pine hollow books and neither do I want too. There is a series called "Heartland" by Lauren Brooke and so far there are 10 books altogether in the series (its pretty new) and I absolutely LOVE it. It's about a girl named Amy Fleming (she's 15) who loses her mom in a road accident. Her mom ran a horse sanctuary called Heartland and took care of damaged horses by using alternative therapies. After Amy gets over her mother's death, she decides to continue to run heartland with the help of her sister Lou (who is 22) and heartland's stablehands ty and ben. Each book is about a problem concerning a horse and Amy dealing with the problem to try and cure the horse. Of course, the books aren't only about horses (that would get kind of boring!). There are family problems and romance injected in the books but don't worry! Romance isn't the topic that is revolved around in these books! yes, amy has to deal with boyfriends and all that kind of stuff but its entertwined with all the horse stuff thats going on. So if you want a good horse series that's mainly about horses (with a little family drama and boys but not too much), read heartland by lauren brooke instead of all this lovesick sappy stuff about pine hollow! i highly recommend it! The age group is about 9-14. It's published by scholastic and I rate heartland 5 stars.
Rating: Summary: The out-of-place ending... Review: Sorry peoples, but if you're looking foe a nice all-ends-tied ending... this ones lets you down. Things really are falling into place for the characters... Ben and Carole have, at last, admitted to their relationship and Ben is really making an effort for her. I would have liked to see a little more focus on them, but there are a few good moments. Lisa and Scott - a relationship I'm not so sure should be permanent, (Unlike Ben and Carole, they just don't seem to fit together too well) - sort things out, and if you're looking for a word on Stevie's relationship, yes, good old Phil features in this one too! Back to the important thing - horses - it's nice to see both new and old stables horses mentioned here, as well as seeing Carole's work with the new additions. I think to really enjoy the PH series, you have to accept that the old Saddle Club members just don't get to ride as much as they used to. Sad... but fitting. You do get far less free time as you `grow up', and I think the PH portrayal of this is fairly accurate.
But the ending certainly is disappointing and VERY out of character for Bonnie Bryrant. I was shocked, although their were enough hints their in the book to realize what would happen. But it truly isn't a happy ending... I would love to see these books continued. I was thrilled to find to Pine Hollow series out, being a Saddle Club fan in my younger years but now having outgrown them. Pine Hollow - while it might restrict the Saddle Club books time-line wise, is an excellent alternative for older readers and a nice change form set pattern of children's series. I have read other's reviews saying that SC#100 might be the end to them, and to cut the Pine Hollow books off as well would be a mistake, I feel, even if only a few more - answering questions - were written.
This said, fans of the series should most definitely read Full Gallop. Just don't expect it at be all flowers and lollipops, is all.
Rating: Summary: that was so sad Review: The ending to this was incredible. I'm so sad. I really really really hope that is not the end of the series they have to go on. The book was the best one of the whole series so far . . . hopefully there will be more. There wasn't an ad for a new book coming up someone should figure out if there will be more made.
Rating: Summary: Please right more Bonnie Brtyant Review: The sires is good I hope theres a lot more in this sires. There was alot for the Saddle Club why can't there be more for Pine hollow. I hope Lisa Atwood and Alex Lake get back together. I'm glad that Carol and Ben are together. Scotts cool but i think that he dosen't really soot Lisa. Sevie and Pill look good together. Denise and Red do to. I hope that we will get to see there Baby. ANd how old are they?. I wish that they will make the saddle club members kids in the next lot of books. I really hope Alex and lisa get back together they look good together.
Rating: Summary: sad but still good Review: This book is very cool if you like the Pine hallow books! Somthing horbibal happens at the end of a perfect day. Everyone's lives from then on are very different! The begaining part is great!
Rating: Summary: Tying Up Loose Ends Review: This book tied up most of the loose ends, and that makes me think that it is the last in the series, but there are so many more things that I want to know about, so I don't want it to end. Like Ben and Carole were just getting together, same for Lisa and Scott. Also, what about the new boarder, Kelsey and Jinx the pony, and Maureen and her bad habits?? I want to see Callie and Scooby get competetive, and Stevie was just getting into event riding. This book was awesome. It was a great book, the only downfall is that it might be the last one. Instead of feeling like this was the end, this book gave me so many more things to think about and so many more ideas of what happens nexy. I HAVE to know. I am so afraid this is the end of the series. I hope not, because there are so many more things that I NEED to hear about. Please keep the series going!
