Summary: Review on Holes
Review: My overall thought of Holes was that it was a very good book. I would recomend it to any other person to read. Some strong points in the story was that the plot constantly changed every chapter, so it kept you reading forever. Holes was a story within a story within a story. The setting changed to the past and present time in the story. A couple weak points about the story was that there was little deatail of all the characters Sachar put in. Another strong of Holes was that it was part Mystery and part Realistic Fiction. Holes was a great book and would read it over and over again

Summary: Review of Holes
Review: This book is mostly about a story in a story in a story in a story. It takes place at a camp and a village and in this story is a curse apon the 4 stanley down to our stanley.Things i thougt was strong about this book was how it went into detail and it went from story to story making sure you know how everythimg started and why it all started the way it all did. Some weak points about the story was how when it would go like into a mystry it would not finish and leave you hangeing also i find a weak point where stanley and zero are in the desert and Sachar basicly leaves them there while nothing is happening BORING!!! this is how i feel about holes other than the weak points i realy liked the story.

Summary: a book to reckon with
Review: The story has clues that make you predict what would happen next. The ending is short, not leading you into enough detail. The story has a good beginning. The first sentence of the book is "There is no lake at Camp Green Lake". I like this book because the number 3(three) always pops up. I rate this book as a 4.5. I read this book 2 times. Each time I read this book, I learn more about the plot.

Summary: HOLES Book
Review: I thought HOLES was a good book! I thought this because, it had a twist to it. Some of the good points about HOLES is that it had a surprising ending and Clyde "Sweet Feet" Livingston's foot odor was cured! I also like how the story was a story-within a story-within a story. The nicknames for the people were very amusing! Some of the bad points in the story HOLES is that sometimes the story would get confusing, but I also thought there should of been a better ending. Overall I thought HOLES was a good book!

Summary: A VERY VERY VERY GOOD BOOK!!
Review: This book is one of my favorite books. As a matter of fact, it's my brother's absolute favorite book ever. It's also the best realistic fiction book I've ever read. It drags you in, very realistic and sometimes funny. I would definetly reccommend buying this book, because you will LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!

Summary: A Wonderful Jigsaw Puzzle
Review: This story is definitely Sacher's best. It tells the fun but deep story of a boy named Stanley Yelnats (spelt the same frontwards as backwards) who goes to a correctional camp, blamed for something he didn't do. It's all because of his no-good-dirty-rotten-pig-stealing-great-great-grandfather. You see, the Yelnats are cursed to be unlucky because a Yelnat slighted a fortune teller a century before. The story goes from this young man to Stanley at Camp Green Lake to the town of Green Lake before the drought, gradually filling in the hole of the story's many questions. At the end, it's a perfect jigsaw puzzle. It is immensely satisfying, and deserves its Newberry Medal.

It's beautifully written, not long and pretentious or short and abrupt. You don't actually notice the diction much; you just see what Sachar is describing. Camp Green Lake is my favourite part, because the other boys are such great characters: there's an established hierarchy, a reject named Zero whom Stanley befriends (and who becomes a key in lifting the curse on the Yelnats), and each boy has a nickname. The acceptance Stanley feels when they nickname him also is so lifelike. These children behave the way most tough kids act, and you'll remember them months after you first read HOLES.
All in all, it's a terrific book for anyone - part mystery, part romance, part adventure, part humour, part fantasy and part realism. Read it - you'll be glad you did.

Summary: good premise and plot
Review: I like the structure of the story. Mishandled, the symmetry of the strong plot could've come off as corny, but I think it's well done.

Summary: A Very Good Book
Review: This is a very good book for teenagers. I think that almost any one could relate to it. It has some funny parts, some sad parts, and some hopeful parts. I like this book alot because it is a well written book for young adults. I know that I would never want to have to dig holes as deep and wide as my shovel every day all day!

Summary: Holes a review by Zachiary
Review: By: Louis Sacher
" You're not in Girl Scouts anymore," stated a stern Mr. Sir. Stanley Yelnats, the protagonist in the book Holes, by Louis Sacher, didn't know how right he was. Camp Green Lake was settled on a large, dried-up lake, were "bad boys" were turned to "good boys" The counselors think that if you take a bad kid out, make him dig holes that are 5x5x5and nearly kill him, then he turns in to a good boy. But correctional facility is only the camps public face. The warden, who's name is unknown, is looking for the bandit, Kissin' Kate Barlown's buried treasure. Little did she know that the treasure was stolen from Stanley Yelnats the 1st, who is Stanley's great-great-grand father.
This book gets really exciting when Stanley and his friend, Zero, climb up and back down the mountain Stanley named "God's Thumb." They start to dig in the hole where Stanley dug in and found a shiny lipstick top a few weeks earlier. They find a suitcase, but before they could open it, the warden catches them. However, they soon notice that they are standing in a nest of highly deadly yellow spotted lizards! Hours go by with no sign of escape. Will the kids survive? Who is the warden? What is in the suitcase? You will have to buy the book and read it to find out.
