Review: Holes is a good book for me. I like how it was a story in a story in a story because it didn't stick on one person's life and make it boring. Louis Sachar went from one life to another and he made it exciting. Louis the author put fun sayings and details into the book. He made one character's name a palindrome. There wasn't much I didn't like except he left me hanging at the end. The fun quotes were like your "head is as empty as a flower pot."

Summary: Holes Review by the really tall girl on the white team
Review: The boys at Camp Green Lake are not just diging to build character. That is just what the Warden has people thinking in Louis Sachar's book known as Holes. Louis Sachar writes this book by discribing 3 stories in 1. In the book a boy named Stanley Yelnats is sent to Camp Green Lake because of fate. He doesnt know that there is alot mare to Camp Green Lake that meets the eye. Stanley 's History goes back extremely far (100 years to be exact) Stanley doesnt realise he is going to encounter an exciting adventure. Louis Sachar writes this book in a suspenful way and makes the reader keep guessing what is going to happen. Even though I liked the book I think at the end Louis Sachar could have been more discriptive at the end . He leaves alot of questions unanswered and I wish he would have given us more Answers

Summary: Dig Those Holes
Review: I am a student at Waldron Mercy Academy.(KMM) Stanley Yelnats is a 12 year old boy who is way over weight for his age. Also Stanley does not have many nice friends. Actually Stanley douse not have any friends. Stanley was all ways getting picks on by a kid who was smaller and younger than him. Also Stanley was not good and I mean not good at any sports.
Well, one day when Stanley was walking home with a sopping wet notebook that had just been dunked in the toilet when a pair of a famous basketballs players's shoes fall on his head. At this time Stanley did not know that the shoes were worth a copious amounts of money. Well, after that Stanley gets caught with the shoes by the police. After that incident Stanley has to go to court. When Stanley goes to court he has choice either to go to jail or go to camp Green Lake in Teas. Well, Stanley pick camp Green Lake. When Stanley gets to camp Green Lake he find out that he has to dig holes 5ft deep and 5ft wide. I would hate that if that happened to me! After a few mounts when Stanley is digging his hole he finds a gold that have the letters KB. Stanley tries to find out what this means throughout the book . To find out what this gold tube means read the book "Holes." I really liked this book because it was well written. Also I liked this bok is that I got a good picture in my mind about what the writer was saying. That is why I really liked this book . I would recommend this book to any 4-6 grader for a good read.

Summary: A great book
Review: I have just recently read this book and I love it! It is about a boy named Stanley Yelnats. Louis Sachar is a great author because he has a great imagination with unique characters and names in this book. Holes is guaranteed to put a smile on your face! Everyone should read it! This is why I rate holes 5 stars.

Summary: Holes
Review: "There is no Lake at Camp Green Lake" Camp Green Lake is a boys detention center in Texas. Stanley Yelnats is an inmate rongly accused of stealing a pair of five thousand dollar shows. The boys at Camp Green Lake dig holes five feet wide and five fet deep until their stay is over. There are no fences or boundaries at Camp Green Lake. There doesn't need to be any. Camp Green Lake is the only place that has water for one hundred miles. But at the bottom lie a secret that could save Stanley from his family curse, and learn the secret of mysterious boy named Zero. Holes is a novel that mixes a realistic fiction theme and a magic twist. Children will be captivated by this smart, surprising and darkly humorous mystery tale.

Summary: Fill in the Holes
Review: I got this book yesterday and finished it last night because I couldn't put it down. I was intrigued with this story for three reasons. First, the utterly ridiculous must be believed in the context of the story and it seems normal. Wild things are happening all the time, and you must believe them. The completely typical (the counselor trying to council the children on their futures) is mixed in with the outright bizarre (a detention center where children have to dig holes every day for apparently no other reason than to build character) and by the end the author has us believing it all. Second, legends are explained. Frequently children hear legends that seem too extreme to possibility be true, but there is no other explanation. Parts of this story narrate what really happened to the people in legends and these stories logically lead to the legends that would eventually be told about them. Third, everything comes together in the end. When you pull on one side of a spider web something happens on the other side. What happens to one characters grandfather is likely going to affect him in ways no one would predict. There are so many great issues brought up in this simple story that make it great for discussion (but not too much dissection please). This is a great story for all ages, and I hope everyone gets a chance to read it.

Summary: Holes Review by S. Von Woofingham
Review: I liked how Holes had so many twists and how everything came together. It is hilarious, too! Look at all the funny characters: Myra (whose head is empty as a flowerpot, Madame Zeroni (the gypsy with one leg), Zero (the emptyheaded kid...or so you think!),and Stanley Yelnats (the kid whose name is spelled the same forwards and backwards). Don't forget to look out for the #3! Wait until you hear all of the great descriptions of Mary Lou in a bathing suit. Yeah! I definitely give it ***** (5 stars!)

Summary: holes review
Review: I am writing this Holes review for a sixth grade class assignment. I think this book by Louis Sachar may not have been the best book I read, but was definately the most interesting book I have read. I liked this book because of how Sachar made everything connect at the end. I like how he uses the number three a lot (watch out for that). My favorite character would have to be Zero because of his perseverance. We are kind of alike because we both like math. I like the line in the book "No-good-dirty-rotten-pig-stealing-great-great-grandfather" because he uses it so much in the book you get used to it. I think Louis Sachar's style was most understanding. Overall, the book was good. by a great student

Summary: Holes, a Book
Review: I thought the book Holes was pretty good. I thought it was good because the story within a story within a story was cool how it came out in the end. But at the end Louis Sachar didn't tell me enough. My favorite character is Zero because he is funny, the way he talks and sounds. There are many interesting characters in the book Holes, like Myra Menke whose head is as empty as a flower pot and the one-legged gypsy,Madame Zeroni. Also there is Sam the Onion Man and Kissin Kate Barlow. My favorite line is when something gos wrong Stanley blames it on his "no-good-dirty-rotten-pig-stealing-great-great-grandfather." Holes is a book of secrets so you are in for a doozy. Holes was one of my favorite books so I hope you will enjoy as much as I did.

Summary: HOLES review
Review: I thought Holes was a great book because there is a story inside a story inside a story. That's one great thing about the book-- then you read it and you will know that I mean. You have to read the book very carefully otherwise you will get confused. Some of the characters in the story were Mr.Sir,the Warden,Stanley,Zero, and Mad.Zeroni.My favorite character is Mr.Sir. He is mean but he always says "We are not in the Girl Scouts anymore."If you read the book you will know what I am talking about. That's about all so you go and read the book and if you don't, you don't know what you are missing.
