Summary: Holes Dug Deep
Review: In Camp Greenlake, boys are sent who "need" correctional help. The theory at camp is if you make a misbehaved boy dig a hole five feet deep and five feet in diameter every day then that boy will become a good boy. Boys are sent there who are caught in a minor crime. Stanely Ylenats is a boy wrongly accused of stealing a pair of shoes and is promptly sent to the correctional camp. Camp, he finds, is difficult and rough. He runs away after his friend Zero and discovers "God's Thumb" which is a mountain providing food and water. This book ends in a satisfying plot twist and ties in a story that took place long, long ago.

Summary: Harry potter phenoma!!!!!
Review: Just like Harry Potter this book will make kids read, it will be entertaining and exciting to adults, and it's mix of several intertwined stories will make you feel warm in your tummy. Enter Holes, one of the best young adult books created. The characters are vividly detailed, each one of them holds their own, character development is such a quintissential part of this book.

THe more adult approach to make a main plot with sub plots was a good idea, the ending which connected them made you feel like you were the hero.

Every time I listen or read it, it gets better, understanding more and apreciating the fine points of writing that louis sachar has given us! It's spectacular.

If you know how to read, buy it, with all due speed.

Summary: Holes
Review: There Stanley Yelnats was. Sitting in court (all because of his no-good-dirty-rotten-pig-stealing-great-great-grandfather.) Finally after a few months her had to decide between going to prison or going to Camp Green Lake. He chose camp green lake. When he gets there he noticed there's no lake... Just holes. "You want to run away?" Mr. Sir asked him.

Stanley looked back at him, unsure what he meant.

"If you want to run away go ahead, start running. I'm not going to stop you."

Stanley didn't know what kind of game Mr. Sir was playing.

"I see your looking at my gun. Don't worry. I'm not going to shoot you.

"I'm not going to run away," Stanley said.

"Good thinking," said Mr. Sir. "Nobody runs away from here. We don't need a fence. Know why? Because we got the only water for 100 miles. You want to run away? You'll be buzzard food in three days."

Stanley finds many adventures in Camp Green lake. Will he fit in? Most importantly will he survive? Or Will he run away and die? Mr. Sir and the Warden says you have to dig a hole everyday, 5 ft. long, wide and deep. You use you shovel to measure. They say you dig a hole each day to build your character. Buy Stanley and the kids at Camp Green lake find out otherwise...
You have to read Holes to find out what will happen. I fell in LOVE with the book. It's my all-time favorite book. I bet you'll love it too if you read it.

Summary: A Very Good Book!
Review: Woah! This is an awesome book with the capability of the "Harry Potter And The Sorcerror's Stone Era." I just saw the movie and loved that to. But, the book still is for 5th grade and middle school students. I'm in 7th grade and I read it in about 45 min. It is still very good. Some parts are funny, too, but the humor is limited to a 3rd-4th grade student. I would suggest that you buy this, read it immediately, then go see the movie. it is a very good way to spend about 3 hours. A very good and cool way.

Summary: Great book!
Review: This book was lots of fun to read. I loved this book so much that I couldn't put it down! I like how it's so adventurous, and sort of humerous. I also like that it tells the history of Green Lake, Texas as well as what's going on in Stanley's time. I learned a bit of Pig Latin also *giggles* and had a great time. I really didn't want the book to end, honestly. If you said to me "rate this on a scale of one to ten" I would give it an eleven.

Summary: Awesome Book!!!!
Review: I bought this book without really expecting what it would be like. It sat on my shelf for awhile and I finally got bored and decided to take a look at it. This book blew me away! I wanted to kick myself for leaving it there the whole time!! Well it definitely exceeded my expectations. I expected it to be a real drag but the story is immediately engrossing and it's really hard to put down! For the parents who may think that the story may be a bit intense for younger readers, rest assured that it isn't as scary and sinister as the blurb makes it out to be. This book was a breeze to read and I really love it!! No library should be without this book! It's totally awesome!!!!! :-)
