Summary: Holes the book version
Review: The book I'm reviewing is Holes written by Louis Sachar. I think it deserves five stars because it's an awesome book. It's about Stanley Yelnats, a boy who's under a curse. Stanley Yelnats gets accused of stealing an athlete's shoes. Stanley gets sent to Camp Green Lake. Camp Green Lake makes boys dig holes to build character, but the warden is really looking for something else. If you read and pay attention to the book, you might find out what they are looking for. I would recommend Holes to a friend.

Summary: dig into a good book
Review: The book I read is Holes by Louis Sachar. This book is about a boy named Stanley that gets sent to a camp called Camp Green Lake. At this camp they dig holes five feet wide and five feet deep to build character, or so they think. My favorite character is Zero. I like Zero because he is honest, nice and a friend. The part I like the best in the book is when Stanley carries Zero up the mountain. So dig into a good book. READ HOLES!

Are you searching for a book with adventure and excitement? If so you should read this book. Holes takes place in the middle of the summer in Greenlake, Texas. The main character is Stanley Yelnats who is always in the wrong place at the wrong time. The problem is that he has to go to Camp Greenlake which is like a military camp.
I liked this book because it was exciting and thrilling throughout the whole book. I thought the book was interesting and when I read it it made me feel how hard it would have been if I had to go to Camp Greenlake. I think that all the suspense in the book is what makes it so special. I'm recommending this book because it is awesome and I would rate it a 10. If you are
a kid who is always getting in trouble then you should read this book.

Summary: Dig It Up
Review: This is for Mrs. Sargent at the Burgate School.

Holes is by Louis Sachar. When I saw the front cover I thought it was really good. I liked the way they have the lizard over the background of the desert.

The book is about a boy who is cursed. His name is Stanley Yelnats. One day something unlikely happens to him and he ends at a camp for bad boys. At the camp the boys have to dig for 'building character', so the warden says. One of Stanley's friends runs away so he goes after him. When he gets back he is released.

The part I liked best was when Stanley tried to escape the water truck. It was funny because he was going well then crashed in to a hole. Things always go wrong for Stanley.

The part I liked least was the beginning because it was quite boring. It seemed as if not much was happening. The author spends along time describeing the camp and Stanley's life. It is only later that you see the connections in the story.

The main characters were Stanley and Zero.

The character I liked most was zero because he hit Mr. Pendanski with a shovel and he's not as silly as every one thinks.

The character I liked least was X-ray because he took the treasure off Stanley and did not come out to see him at the end.

I would recommend this book to a friend because it is fun and very exciting and has a good story line. It is also quite easy to read, especially as the chapters are small.

Summary: In the end everything ties together
Review: I thought the book was very interesting. I like the way I was held in suspense. I couldn't put the book down I needed to find out what would happen next. My favorite parts were when Stanley had flashbacks to his great-great grandfather's time. It's a great book if you want to go on an adventure.
