Review: THIS TRULY DOES DESERVE THE NEWBERRY MEDAL. THE STORY TWISTS AND TURNS, GOING BACK, AND FORTH- WHILE ALL COMING TOGETHER. THEN THERE ARE SOME UNINPORTANT AND UNANSWERED QUESTIONS I AM CURIOUS ABOUT, LIKE WHO WAS THE "ORANGE BLOB" IN THE WreckROOM?AND DONT' LET THE SENTENCE "THERE IS NO LAKE AT CAMP GREEN LAKE CONFUSE YOU. IT'S ALL PART OF THE TWISTS AND TURNS.

Summary: Teacher and Students Loved This Book
Review: After reading this book, I knew I had to read it to my sixth grade class. I have never seen sixth graders love a book as much as this one. I thought I was going to be hanged every time I stopped reading to them. One boy, who rarely read on his own or listened to me read, was heart-broken when he missed a day of school and thus the book. I was impressed with the way Sachar made my students think as they listened to the book, and forced them to look back in the story to understand what was happening. Both my students and myself loved "Harry Potter", but we all agreed that this book was by far better. This book receives my highest recommendation.

Summary: Another great Louis Sachar book!!!
Review: Stanley Yelnats (The main character)was convicted of stealing shoes from a homeless shelter.Instead of going to jail he went to Camp Green Lake,a work camp. At Green Lake, as a character building exercise, he had to dig a five foot HOLE every day for a year and a half. That is where Louis Sachar got the name Holes for this interesting book. I hope you enjoy Holes as much as I did.

Summary: Couldn't put it down!!!!!!!!!!!! :0Þ
Review: This was the first book in a long time that I couldn't put down. I don't read that much and this book kept me wanting to read it. The author, Louis Sachar, wrote like he was at the camp with the boys. He wrote so that you could feel the thirstyness, tiredness, and soreness of the boys when they finished digging the holes. When the boys were hot, thirsty, and tired; so where you. You could feel what he was writing. Near the end of the book you didn't want to put it down because you wanted to know if Zero and Caveman were going to live. The ending was shocking and wonderful. It had a perfect ending to go with a perfect book. I loved how the book told about the history of the lake and tied it into Caveman's life. This was a wonderful book. It was the first book in a very long time that didn't put me to sleep at night. I would tell kids my age to read this book. Mousey in Mr. Murry's A2 English 10 H.

Summary: Way Better than Harry Potter!
Review: My 5th grade class I'm in just started reading this book.We have 50 pages to go.Every day when my teacher was going to stop every kid in the class begged and yelled for him to continue. So far, this has benn a super book.I have read most of Harry Potter. This is better than Harry Potter.Harry Pottter just seemed boring to me.But this,it sounded boring, just look at how happy I am now. Some times it was sick, sometimes it was "sweet", sometimes it was scary, sometimes it was sad.All of those words begining with s. It was very sad when Mary Lou(Sam the Onion Man's donkey) was shot and killed when Sam did too.

Wonderful.Pure fabulous.

Summary: Could not put it down! Held my attention to the end !
Review: I am a Media Assistant at our middle school. The book was so intertaining. I read it to several classes and they were all caught up in the story. We all got into the act by giving each other nick names. Great fun !
