Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: I enjoyed this book because it had a lot of suspense. Review: This boy named Stanley got in trouble and got sent to Camp Greenlake. At Camp Greenlake, all he did was dig 5'x5' holes. He made friends with some of the boys, including Zero, Armpit, and Ex-ray. Stanley found a gold tube, and gave it to Ex-ray. Ex-ray gave it to the Warden and got the day off. The Warden was very thankful and wanted all the boys to carefully search the area. They did, and found nothing, because they were searching Ex-ray's area, not Stanley's. Then, Zero asked Stanley to teach him how to read. In return, Zero would dig some of Stanley's hole. Stanley agreed, and started teaching Zero. After awhile, Zero ran away, and soon after Stanley ran off afterwards to go look for Zero. Stanley found Zero in an old half-buried boat, and they decided to go to a mountain called "God's Thumb". On the way, Zero got sick, and Stanley carried him up the mountain. Once they got up to the "thumb", Stanley found a little pool of water and an onion. The next day, Stanley found a huge garden of onions. Zero soon got better, and they decided to go back to Camp Greenlake and look for treasure in the hole that Stanley found the gold tube. They found the treasure, and they found out that Stanley's attorney had come to Camp Greenlake to free him the day before. His attorney came back that day, and the Warden and her helpers; Mr. Sir and Mr. Pendanski got into trouble. That day, Zero and Stanley got to go home, and Zero was able to find his mom.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: "Holes" always kept me one my seat and wanting more. Review: "Holes" by Louis Sacher is such an awesome book. Stanley Yelnats is accused of stealing Clyde Louiston's, a famous baseball player, shoes. The problem is that he didn't do it, they "fell from the sky" is what he says. He has two options, go to jail, or got to a juvenille camp. He went to the camp. While he was there he meets the kid who actually stole the shoes. At this camp you are treated in a way so that you don't do what you did again. Everyday Stanley has to dig a 5 by 5 hole, 5 feet by 5 feet. If you find something while digging, you get the day off if the warrden likes it. There is also a limited amount of water that you get. Through out the story there are two stories that combine into the one at the end. Camp Greenlake used to be a town that had a lake. The dried up lake is now the camp. This boat sunk and had things in it that are revealed later on. Stanley blames everything that happens to him and his family on his great-great grandfather. Stanley runs away looking for another camper and they discover a lot of things that make more sense towards the end. These two stories combine into one to make a one great story. I recomend this book to everyone. I don't read much and I thought it was the best book ever.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: "Holes" is a unique and enthralling book. Review: "Holes" by Louis Sacher, is a book unlike any book that you have read or will ever read. It takes three stories, and at first it is confusing, but they all tie together at the end. This book is truly a great piece of literature, and I will reccommend it to anyone who likes books with mystery, and humor. The humor is put in places that help break the tension, and yet put you in more suspense. It is well-written and keeps you remembering little details that didn't seem to important when you read them. This book kept me wanting to read some more, and never finding a good place to stop. I definitely want to read it; again and again.

It showed how people that were innocent, get blamed for things they didn't do. The book was written good. All the things told came back together at the end of the story. If you read one book this year, read this one.

Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: This book is good but not good enough for a historious novel Review: If you would live a day in the life of Stanley Yelnats shoes you would know what it would be like to live life from every aspect of view. Stanley has been made fun of, convicted, and been a hero in this story. But I am not going to tell you all the aspects of the story so you will just have to read it for yourself if you want some astonishment action packed drama.
