Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: This is an amazingly interesting book Review: This book explains the ups and downs in life in a fun way. Once I started Holes I had a whole lot of trouble putting it down! Holes can be kind of confusing but only for the first couple of chapters. The plot is kind of complex, but that just makes it more fun to read!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: It was the most amazing book I've ever read. Review: I first got this after reading an excerpt from the book. It took me one day to finish the book because I couldn't put it down. Even though it is for younger people, i reccomend it to everyone. It made me cry and laugh. I was surprised when the guy who sits in front of me in my math class had already read "Holes!"
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: This book is very exciting Review: This book was very good. Everything connected so everything made sense together. I would recommend this book for anyone who is a pretty good reader and likes exciting books.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: A book that you can really get into. Review: Ever since I was 8,(I'm 12 now)Louis Sachar has always been my favorite author and I think all his books that I've read are good but Holes has been the best one. Holes is very descriptive but the words aren't big and hard to read so you can understand the book. It really makes you say "Oh" and "duh" or "I can't belive I didn't see that!" It's funny, serious and sad. It's like a lot of stories that somehow connet. It's so good even adults would like to read it! If you want a story that can really grab you this is it.The only bad part I can think about it is that it ends.

Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: Holes is an imaginative story. Review: The name of my book is Holes by Louis Sachar. The beginning of this book has little action. It tells the background of Stanley Yelnats and his grandfather which leads into the ironic ending. But until the last 20 chapters nothing out of the ordinary happens. Thhe plot has a cool twist to it. The ending could have been different, but when Zero told Caveman that he was the reason Caveman was there that was breath-taking. If there is only one thing you will learn from this book it is to never give up. It is never too late to change even if you are in a bad situation.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: A Good Book To Read Review: I really enjoyed this book. The characters come alive to me. I felt good when Stanley was happy and sad when he was unhappy. I liked the way I had to figure out the story instead of the author telling what the story is about. I really liked all the descriptions that the author put in. I could imagine the lizard's white tongue and its red eyes.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Holes Deserves Every Iota of that Newberry! Review: I am a college student, and bought this book on a whim at a book fair. It had won the Newberry Medal for the year, so I knew it had to be at least slightly entertaining. One day, as I was procrastinating (as many college students are prone to do), I picked up the book. I DID plan on doing other work that day -- the plans flew out the window. I simply could not put the book down. Sachar has the gift of writing what is supposedly a children's book with enough style and grace to hook any 'grown-up'. He intricately weaves all the subplots together until the finished work will leave you sighing with satisfaction.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Great book, a favorite read, second only to Harry Potter! Review: I liked this book because it was a weird, scary, wild adventure. I had to read this book in my 5th grade literature class and I really enjoyed it. I highly recommend it to all ages of readers.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: This book is GREAT! Review: Everyone should read this book. It was funny, sad, and serious all at the same time. It was a suprisingly good book. Go pick it up!
