Summary: Great Book!
Review: When I first got Holes, I didn't read it. I kept putting it off. But when I finally did read it, I loved it! It is about Stanley Yelnats and how he went to a camp. He had to dig one hole everyday! Holes tells about Stanley's family's past as well as what is going on at camp. This is a great book and I definitely recommend it to you. And remember, don't put off reading it. Just pick it up and start right away, because it's a great book!

Summary: Kid's point of view
Review: Recently in my seventh grade class my teacher read Holes to us. She would read a chapter or two every day and when she stopped everyone pleaded with her to keep going. It was so good we did all of our other work quickley so she could get to Holes and read somemore. But sometimes she would be reading and have to stop and explain what was happening and how everything entertwined to a few people. It was even a little hard for some 12 and 13 year olds to grasp at times, but we still thought it was awesome. Louis Sachar did a very good job on this double story writing it so everything and everyone in it had a reason for being there. I recommend it to all people who don't mind taking the time to stop and think over what's happening and why, while they're reading.

Summary: Just Plane Awful !
Review: Ugh! This book was awful. I mean I loved Harry Potter books but I hate this book. It was ok, I guess but all it was about was a kid going to a camp and having to dig a hole every day.If your looking for a nice long book do not get this one it only took me 2 days to read.

Summary: How to Tame a Fifth Grade Class
Review: I just finished reading Holes to my Fifth Graders. They were entranced, begging to hear it and groaning when I stopped. They enjoyed the story flashbacks and kept trying to guess the warden's connection to K.B. It is truly one of those books that hook kids on reading.

Summary: Great for book club discussions
Review: I recently read holes for a book club, the discussion was great we all had different ideas of what was going on, and the activities were great I highly recomend this book. It was much better then Sachar's other books!

Summary: Holes, an adventure for the mind and soul.
Review: Hloes was a great book. Iv'e already read it twice and am reading it agian for a third time in a row. Stanley Yelnats IV (notice that his first name is his last name backwords)has a famly history of bad luck when his no good, dirty, rotten, pig stealing great-great grandfather, Elya Yelnats forgot to carry Madame Zeronie up a montain. This put a curse on his famly for generations to come. Elya's son, Stanley Yelnats I, was robbed near the now dry green lake by kissin Kate Barlow. Stanley's famly would have been rich if it wasn't for this. A man named Trout Walker wanted to find the treasure of Stanley Yelnats I but Kissin Kate Barlow buried it on the dry lake bed. When Stanley Yelnats IV was wrongly accused of stealing Clide Livingston's shows, he was sent to camp greenlake, which was on the dry lake bed. The warden was a decendent of Trout Walker. She made the each of the kids at camp greenlake dig a 5x5 hole every day. She said that it would build charecter but it becomes obvious to Stanley and his freinds later in the book that they are looking for something. I won't tell anymore but I highly recomend this book. If you don't read it then your missing out on a great book full of adventure , exitment, mystery, 2 storys in one. Holes is the best book I've ever read. 233 pages and I finished it in less then a week and I'm a slow reader. It would normally take me almost a month to read a book that is only a liitle over 100 pages long but I just couldn't put this book down, I didn't want it to end! I read it in all of my free time and even during class at school. There is no book better then Holes. Plus, the book is written so well you'll even be able to feel what the charecters are going through!

Summary: Super Story
Review: Holes by Louis Sachar is a great story. It keeps the reader wanting to flip the pages 1 by 1. I started reading this book and I never stopped. I read it in about 5 hours it was so good. There is great detail on each and every day of the story. All of the characters are told about in depth. HOles is about a boy named Stanley Yelnats. He has committed a crime and has to choose whether to go to jail or to go to the dreaded Camp Greenlake. Willingly Stanley chose the camp because his family was too poor to afford to go to camp. So it was a good thing for him, until he showed up at the camp of doom. Read this book to find out the rest it is a great story

He makes friends with Zero whoes real name is Hector. When Hector dissapears Stanley or what some people call him Cave Man sets out to find Zero in a land of wilderness. Can Zero survive? Can he and will he find zero? We read this book in my fifth grade class and we really enjoyed it so I highly recomend it!

Summary: A review of Holes
Review: Holes is one of the best books I've ever read before in my life. I've already read it twice and am starting throough it agian for a third time. I never really liked reading but I heard about this book and it sounded interesting. I started reading and I couldn't even put the book down! I normally get bored with a book after about 10 minutes but Holes was one that I just had to get through. I'm normally a very slow reader and it will take me almost a month to finish a book but I finished Holes in less then a week. I highly recommend this book! It's like a jigsaw puzzle for your mind, the way that the events that took place over 100 years ago tie in with the events of the future, and how it all began with Stanley Yelnats' (Take note that Stanly Yelnats is a spelled the same way frontward and backword, there's a special name for things that are like that but the name escapes my mind right now), no good, dirtty, rotten, pig stealing great-great grandfather. Anyone who doesn't read this book is missing out on a great story full of mystery, exitment, adventure, and many cliff hangers. Buy it or check it out from your local library today! Don't delay!
