Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Holes Review: When I checked Holes out of the library, I wasn't sure I would like the book because it wasn't something that I normally like to read. I started reafing the book Holes and got caught up in the book. I could hardly put it down! The only part that I didn't like about Holes was the way the book would talk about the main character(Stanley Yelnats)and then switch over to his ancestors. This book is a a great book. I would recommend it to my friends with the same reading interests as me.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Holes Review: Holes is a very exciting book. Some chapters change the subject and it gets confusing, but in the end it starts to make sense why the author did that. If you like adventure then you would love this book. The characters all have their own unigue and strange personalitys, that will make your reading endless. I recommend this book to anyone, because it is very descriptive, and easy to read and understand. It would be a great book for anyone of any age to add to their bookshelf.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: A Nice Package Review: I just finished this book this morning at the prodding of my 9 year old son. We both loved it. It is a tight little story about a boy stuck in the wrong place at the wrong time, and how he joins a band of misfits in the same predicament. Sachar fills in holes in the story as it moves along, keeping new information coming all the while. While the story is fun, the allegories provide great springboards to meaningful conversation with mature young ones on tough topics like racism, fate, revenge. Some parts are a little bleak, but not overtly scary. I am looking forward to sharing this with all of my children.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: HOLES and LD students - a perfect fit! Review: I recently used the book HOLES with my high school LD students. We haven't had so much fun in a long time. We couldn't wait to get to class to find out what would happen next. We acted out the dialogue, ate sunflower seeds, drank peach nectar, and made lots of predictions. The class even clapped when we finished the book. I am not sure when the last time was that a book I chose for a class got that kind of response.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Thinker Review: I am a twelve year old girl and I found this story very good. It is about a boy who is wrongly accused of theift. He is sent to a boot camp where he is forced to dig a five foot hole every day. It's supposed to help him build charecter. He is told that if he finds anything while he is digging, he should tell the officials of the camp right away. He's looking for something but he doesn't know what. In this is a provocitive story that you should read.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: A wonderful story, much different than "Wayside School"! Review: Louis Sachar is best known for his extremely funny wayside school books. But now he has written a part-funny part-sad story called "Holes". I heard of it when it won the Newbery Medal, and I soon bought a copy. It has a cool story to it, and it keeps getting better the more and more you read it. Great overall!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: "Holes." Join Stanley Yelnats at Camp Greenlake. Review: I liked this book because it was easy to read, funny, and explained from a kid's view the not so fun side of juvenile punishment, whether you deserve punishment or not. Stanley Yelnats portrays alot of average kids, and it was nice to read about him as he discovers a new sense of himself. Any kid would like this book, and all should read it.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Holes-a hole different world Review: This book was worthy of rewarding the Newbery Medal. This book was suspenseful and very well written. Stanley is sent to a camp because he was acused of stealing sneakers. It took him awhile to be acepted into the group. Eventually he became part of the pack. read the book it is great.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: No Holes in this book Review: Once I picked up Holes by Louis Sachar, I couldn't put it down. Throughout the book are flashbacks that connect Stanley's great-great-grandfather to the events that are happening to Stanley now. I didn't realize until the last chapter how a promise made by a by a past relative was carried out by a future one. It's amazing how all of the intricate details worked out for the best.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Very Misleading Title Review: I'm in 8th grade, and my aunt recommended this book for me. It's a little below my reading level but any age from 8 years old up would be a great age to enjoy this book. It takes no time at all to get into the book and start enjoying the characters. I have always liked Louis Sachar's strange writing but this book puts him at the top. There is really no way to explain the book in a good way without giving away the surprises and strange conclusions that happen, which in some ways is great fun!
