Review: This book was amazing. I really enjoyed it. I think what really made it so enjoyable, is the characters personalities, even Kissin' Kate Barlow. There personality pulled you into the story. I could not get over the mystery, suspicion, and humor in this book! Amazingly written this book is deffinately 5 stars.

Review: Both my son (age 8) and I thoroughly enjoyed this extremely perceptive book. Holes communicates with elegant simplicity important messages for kids - and adults - about friendship, hardship, pain and redemption. Kids can relate to Stanley and ultimately be empowered by his story. We are major Harry Potter fans, but would enjoyed this book even more.

Review: CREATIVE! REFRESHING!I first read the reviews and had a difficult time getting a good sense of what it was about. I bought it mainly because so many said it was "good" even though I didn't know why. When I try to relate what this story is about, I realize that it is difficult. Reading it is the best way to find out. You wont be disapointed! My child and I read it together. It is really a book a kid can't put down. There are two parallel stories intermixed that meet in the end. Kids can relate to the characters. And every kid who isn't perfect, and has ever been "picked on" by someone else, can identify with the main character. It is a VERY CREATIVE book that is part fiction, part parable, part tall tale and totally enjoyable for both kids and adults. I reccomend it for all and give it wheneve I need to give a gift in this age group.

Review: This book is definitely one of the best by Louis Sachar. I have read a lot of his books, and none of them touched me as much as this one. The insane idea of having to dig a hole of that size every day in the blazing sun is so unreal, that it is believable. This enchanting tale of pain and friendship is a must-have for readers of all ages. (....) This is really a wonderful book that everyone should enjoy.

Stanley chose to go to camp Green Lake in stead of going to jail.There he had to dig big holes every day, until one day he found something interesting. If you like Holes go to the library and check it out to see what happens.

Review: It's about a boy named Stanley and how he got sent to Camp Green Lake. He started out like a fat chubby boy, and after a while he lost some weight and got stronger. I like this book because I like how he went to the thumb.

Review: This book really needs a thinking skill to read, because it gives us mysteries to solve. When I read books, I use to list the characters and write down person's characteristics. By doing this I can make a hypotheseis what is going to happen next. In this book, there is a time changing and other stuffs happening so there is no way to figure what's going to happen, but read.
