Rating: Summary: THE BEST BOOK EVER Review: Holes was the best book I'v read ever.It definaley deserved the Newbery award.I would recamend this book to anyone who like mystery and suspece. It attracts people of all ages 11-100
Rating: Summary: Awful! Review: Belive this review! NOT THE OTHERS! (no offense.) This book,I didn't finish it,but it is the worst! It's so stupid! It needs a plot! It needs more meanings in the book! But most of all,it needs WORK!
Rating: Summary: Holes Review: Holes was an interesting book to read, because it was about a boy that gets arested for stealng a pair of a baseball player's shoes. the shoes were being auctioned off to raise money for a shelter for the homeless. He gets taken to a dicipline camp that forces him to dig a hole the size of the shovel that he is equiped. I liked this book because it was not that ordinary.
Rating: Summary: Even my 10 year old reluctant reader was hooked! Review: My son hates to read, but he loves Holes. I've been reading it aloud to him for the past week. He has also read some of the book to himself and finds that easy, given the short paragraph format and familiar vocabulary. The plot moves quickly, with each short chapter ending with a "cliff hanger" that compels us to read on. It's a winner!

He has also read some of the book to himself which he finds easy to do, given the short paragraph format and not too challenging vocabulary. The plot moves quickly, with each short chapter ending with a "cliff hanger" that compels us to read on. It's a winner!
Rating: Summary: Really Good Book Review: The book sounds stupid, but it's really an expression of kids today. They feel trapped, doing the same thing everyday, like the kids in the book. They dig a hole, every single day, and it's the monotony of it all that drives them to do all that they do. Also, it shows how greedy ambition can drive some to do things which any sane person would never think of doing, yet in a subtle way.
Rating: Summary: The Best Read Aloud! Review: As a teacher of 7th grade students I am always searching for books to read aloud that will hold the interest of teenagers. HOLES is GREAT! Almost every chapter ends with a "cliff-hanger". With this book, my students begged me to read more!
Rating: Summary: Holes, a truly amazing book Review: Holes is an unbelievably good book filled with friendship, hard times, and Humur. I recomend this book for anybody
Rating: Summary: 7th Graders Love This Book! Review: I teach 7th grade to about 70 students and when we did a unit study on Holes, everyone couldn't wait to get to class each day. I didn't have a single groan or complaint about Language Arts for 6 whole weeks! I was able to get so many valuable Literary elements across to them in an enjoyable way. Sachar did a superb job of making characters who reflect so many of our own lives. Just one hint...keep your eyes and ears open while living this book...everything foreshadows something! Read it with the "voices", get in to this book and you will have THE MOST ENJOYABLE SUMMER!
Rating: Summary: HOLES: The Best Book Review: Holes is the best book you'll ever read. Because it has a prize on it. It's so good that you wont be able to put it down.Because it's really, really good. Do what ever you can to get it.It's good because it's a great big circle Also holes are circle. Like Kissin Kate Barlow buried a suitcase that said Stanley and Stanley found it. Also, they told what was in it. Zero got to stay with Stanley and Zero found his mother because she was messing with his hair. But he did not know it was his mother. So that's why this book is the best!
