Summary: Awesome Book! ;-)
Review: Have you ever met someone who was cursed because their great-great grandfather stole a pig from a one legged gypsy? Well Stanley Yelnats, The main character in Holes, is cursed for that exact reason. Because of the curse, Stanley is always followed by unfortunate events. Because of the curse, Stanley is always at the wrong place at the wrong time. Because of the curse, Stanley has to ding lots of holes.
When I first saw the cover of the book Holes, I thought it was about craters on the moon. I was very wrong. In the story Holes, Stanley is sent to Camp Green Lake. Camp Green Lake is a juvenile work camp for boys. Stanley is really innocent of the crime in which he was convicted for. At Camp Green Lake, each camper has to dig a hole everyday. The campers ae supposedly digging for character. Then they figure out the warden, the woman in charge of the camp, is looking for something, and that they are digging for it. But what is the warden looking for? Stanley and his best friend Zero try to figure out what the warden is looking for, and their search turns into a journey of a lifetime.
In the book, Stanley has a nickname. His nickname is Caveman. There are other campers with nicknames too, such as Zero, Armpit, Squid, and Twith. I have a nickname of my own. My nickname is Crash. My dad gave me this nickname because I am a klutz, tripping and falling. At first I didn't like my nickname. After I got used to my nickname, I learned to laugh at it.
Holes is full of exitement and mystery. Once you pick it up and start reading you will be hypnotized by it's plot, unable to put it down. I have read this book over and over, and I love it everytime. You may want to read it right now and you might have some questions about it. You will just have to read it and fill in the holes yourself.

Summary: Adnan's review on Holes
Review: Digging a hole, all day long is a punishment for something he didn't do. Stanley Yelnats, is charged with stealing shoes, and is sent to camp Green Lake to dig holes as an alternative to juvenile detention. Because of a curse put on his family, because of his dirty-rotten-pig-stealing-great-great-grandfather, Stanley has never had good luck and this time he's in big trouble; but what he doesn't know, is that Camp
Green Lake will change this all!

Adventure, suspense, and mystery are only a few of the characteristics of this novel. I really liked how it flowed together! I loved this book. I would give this book 5 out of 5 star. The characters in this book are so realistic. They and other things as well have great descriptions. This book is magnificent.

Holes was so good, I couldn't put it down. Before reading this book, I thought reading was boring, but this book opened up my eyes to the great world of reading. This really is a great book and I recommend it to everyone. Its plot is very fresh. Its one of those books you will always remember. Truly, this book is great for all ages.

Summary: Review of Holes By Rico
Review: I enjoyed the action and adventure of Holes. Holes is written by Louis Sachar. I recommend this book to all 4th& 5th graders. An important theme of this book is friendship. The main character, Stanley, has a family curse. Stanley was sent to a place called Camp Green Lake and that's where he and Zero meet. They become friends and they rescue each other. Read the book Holes to see if digging holes really does build character.

Review: If you like conflicts and drama then read Louis Sacher's award winning book HOLES! Holes is a good book for any age but perfect for a 4th grader like me. In the book the main character is Stanley Yelnats the forth. Stanley is sensitive, gets pick on, pushed around, and cursed. I like how Sacher made his flashbacks in the book to tell how explain Stanley's family story. Read the book to find out how Stanley made new friends and breaks the family curse!

Review: I really enjoyed reading this book. It talks about Stanley Yelnats and the curse they had on them, all thanks to there "no good pig stealing great great grandfather." One day as he was walking down the street a pare of really famous shoes fell on him. They were stolen and shortly after they had found him with them he was sent to a place called camp green lake all he had to do was dig holes. There a lot of things had happend to stanly, and his life had changed for ever.

Review: I think this was a very good book because it shows like everything a book should have like problems, solutions, and actions. My favorite character was Stanley because he was like the bravest one in the story and was helping zero.
