Summary: A great book! What can I say? ...
Review: This: Holes by Louis Sachar is about...why don't you read it and find out? If you have read it, then there's no reason for me to explain. Besides, it's been some time since I read it and I might make mistakes summarizing. That would be boring anyway, so let's move on. It's a great book with a puzzle of a plot that can get slightly old after a while. It's great for a first and second read, though. Third time around you might want to skip some parts. Not too much, though, because a lot happens. The ending was a little too happily-ever-after for me, but it seems okay for other people so it might just be me. That's why I've decided to rate Holes 5 stars. Now, go read it if you haven't. If you already have, go read something else.

Summary: Much better than wayside.
Review: When I bought this book I was just looking for a book that was good. I had no idea that I was going to read it in about 1 day. This book has comedy, adventure, and there is a lot of Holes that Louis Sachar leaves for you to figure out on your own. It all starts out with Stanley, a wrongly accused teenager who is sent to a camp where every day you have to dig a hole 5 feet deep 5 feet wide. The warden of the camp is a very misterius woman. This book is much better than Harry Potter which leaves you so bored you have a headache in the beggining. This book is easily one of my favorites and is one of the best of all time.

Summary: Wonderful book!
Review: This was a weird book, with all the sort of flashbacks and how the story fit together. I was a little confused at first, but I really liked it. The best part was all the characters and how they had such obvious personalities. It is definitely worth reading and very enjoyable, especially the second, and third, and fourth times!

Summary: The best book i have ever read
Review: At first I found it very boring because it's written in English and I'm from Germany but I have read many books but no book was as good as HOLES by Louis Sachar. We have read it in our English lessons. But when I finished the first part it was exciting and I couldn't stop reading. Our homework was to read a few pages. I find this was the most exciting, most interesting and the funniest homework I have ever had to do. What I found very good was that 3 stories are well-combined. Buy this book! Immeditaly!

Summary: Not the best book...
Review: I think the book is for kids who are older than 12 years old. Because younger people can't unterstand the meaning of the book. But it is also interesting to switch between two stories. The first is about Stanley at the camp, and there are other stories in the camp. If you want to you can read it. All in all the book is o.k.!

Summary: Impressions of a German reader
Review: I read the story with classmates in our english lessons.I think the book is very good, because there are three connected stories in one book and that this makes reading very interesting.I only give it 4 stars, because I think that some chapters of the book are unrealistic. It describes how a friendship between two boys (Stanley and Zero)grows.

Summary: Complete a Car Trip w/o hearing "Are We There Yet?"
Review: Having already read the story a year prior:

We listened to Holes on our trip to California (and again on our way back.) We had trouble even stopping at rest stops - especially if we were at an interesting part in the story! Too bad that it was only 4 1/2 hours of story and 7 hours of trip!
