Summary: You've got to read this great book!!!!!!!!!!
Review: Holes by Louis Sachar is a fantasy story with exciting characters that keep you readng until the end of the book. In the book a boy named Stanley Yelnats is accused of commiting a crime so he has a choice to go to jail or to camp. He decides to go to camp because his parents were too poor to send him to camp and he thought it would be fun. What he had to do at the camp was to dig a hole that was five feet all around. In the course of the novel Stanley runs after his friend who had run away from camp. On this adventure they find something from Stanley's past. This discovery was very valuable in Stanley's life. I would strongly recommend this book to any reader because it describes the book in great detail. This is why I chose this book to write a review.

Summary: Holes the review!
Review: Holes by Louis Sachar is a fiction book with a mystery and exciting characters that keep me reading until the end of the book. Stanley is the main character of the book. He gets into Camp Green Lake because he found Clyde Livingston's sneakers that fell from the sky and people thought he stole it. Stanley met kids that had weird names that turned out to be nicknames. After a while they started to call him Caveman. The camp was a desert with deadly animals like yellow spotted lizards. When Stanley was at camp his job was to dig holes that were 5 feet deep and 5feet wide. He had to dig one hole a day. I could not put the book down because I was trying to find out what the Warden was looking for . I recommend this book because it is exciting and mysterious to find out what the Warden wants. I think the book is also interesting when Stanley and Zero went to Big Thumb.

Summary: THE BEST BOOK IN THE UNIVERSE!
Review: Holes by Louis Sachar is a fascinating book! It tells the story of a boy named,Stanley Yelnats (his last name is Stanley spelled backwards). I recommend the book because it is so wonderfully writen and how the author tells the story of a boy who gets accused of stealing and gets a choice to go to jail or Camp Green Lake and he picks Camp Green Lake. Camp Green Lake is a camp to build your character but really you have to dig holes and once you dig a hole that is five feet wide and five feet deep you get the rest of the day off. In Montana is where Camp Green Lake is located. The enviorment is very hot and dry. This book is amazingly brilliant and full of adventure!READ IT!

Summary: Not my Type= 4 1/2 stars
Review: The pretty Newburry medal on the front cover signifies that this book is the best book published that year. It propably is. Here is the synopsis:
A boy is charged with steeling a charitable shoe from a showcase. He is prosecuted and found guilty. He is sentenced to spend time in a boot camp-like atmosphere, where the next day has nothing to offer. The reason this is is because all inmates must dig a hole 5 feet in diameter and depth. The Mr. Sir is very intolerant with the inmates (who are by the way all children). Why do they have to dig holes though in such a arid, desert-like place. Read to find out.

I give this story 4 and 1/2 stars. The reason probably is because it isn't my kind of story. Sure a story about holes sounds really stupid, like I thought, but I found it almost outstanding. If you like fiction, then you'll love it way more than I do, and I like it very much. Don't pass this one up. ;)

Summary: A Young Adult book that Adults will enjoy too!
Review: I am a first grade teacher who was given this book by one of my graduate professors, because she said it was a superlative example of a well written book for young adults. I must say that I agree with what she said, except for one thing: Although this book is about young adults, I don't think that only young adults will enjoy it. This book really makes the reader think about what it going on the story. There are a lot of things that the one reads and is confused about, until later in the book when you find yourself saying "oh, now I get it." The way the author pulls everything together throughout the story is wonderful. The book is filled with twists and surprises.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: This is one of my favourite books.
Review: Stanley Yelnats is sent to Camp Green Lake for a crime he didn't commit. All day long he has to dig pointless holes 5 feet deep and the 5 feet in diameter. But one day Stanley finds something and the Warden gets excited. Is she looking for something?

When I started this book I couldn't put it down. Everyone is connected to one another in some unexpected way. It has heart and soul, romance, reunion and a great ending.

This is a book you shouldn't miss.
