Summary: Survival of Camp Green Lake, a Holes review
Review: How would you feel if you had to dig a hole five feet deep and five feet wide every day for eighteen months? How would you like to read a story about a boy that had to do this? If you choose to read about this, then you might want to read the book ,Holes by Louis Sachar. Holes is about a boy convicted of stealing a pair of shoes from a baseball star. He is sent to a youth facility called Camp Green Lake. Don't think there is any lake there, though! The lake dried up years ago and is now a desert where criminal boys have to dig holes every day. But waht are they digging for? Is Stanley, the main character, really guilty? Read Holes to find out!

Summary: Books and Bagels book- holes
Review: "You want some sploosh?" "Onions! Hot,sweet Onions!" " I like to dig holes." "This ain't no Girl Scout Camp!" Do these sentences sound familiar to you? They're addictive catch phrases from Louis Sachar hit book, Holes. Louis Sacher

Holes is about a young man ,Stanley Yelnats, who is wrongfully accused of stealing a famous athlete's shoes and is sent to a juvenile work center called "Camp Green Lake". Camp Green Lake really isn't green. It really does'nt even have a lake either. It did at one time , but that was 100 years ago when the place was a town just called "Green Lake". Anyway, back to Stanely. Stanely has a curse on his family from his "no-good-dirty-rotten-pig-stealin-great-great-great-grandfather" (example his great grandfather and his family, were on the on the way to thier new home, when he was robbed by Kissin' Kate Barlow other wise he would have been rich but now they're in poverty) so he thinks.
So when Stanley gets to the camp, he sees nothing but tents and holes. So, the people direct to his new living space in the D section, where he meets some boys with some intesting names such as "Armpit" and "Zero"The first day of digging the give Stanley a shovel the is 5ft. long. He is to make a hole that is feet from top to bottom and all around. It takes Stanley forever to dig it. "The 2nd holes the hardest."according to X-ray. The process just continuesd on from the holes.
Then Stanley strikes a deal with Zero; if Zero helps him dig apart of his hole he will help him read. it works until the leaders find out and start making fun of Zero so he runs away. Stanley decides to go after him. Does Stanley make it? Will he be ok? Will he ever get out? you'll just have to read the book to find out.

Summary: Holes, This One's For You
Review: How would you like it if you had to go to a detention facility for something you didn't do. You were just accussed for it. Well, in this story, Stanley Yelnats is at Camp Green Lake(a detention facility) for stealing shoes. Everyday he is there, him and his inmates have to dig holes 5 feet deep and 5 feet wide. To make matters worse, the camp is infested with rattlesnakes, scorpions, and poisonous yellow-spotted lizards. This book is perfect for ages 9-13 and readers older than that. It's an all around great book.
The writers of the book carefully wondered what to put in the book that would be suitable for the 9-13 audience. The words are pretty easy to understand. The statements in the book told by Stanley are easy to understand, and the readers will understand it perfectly.
During most of the book, the author expresses lots of humor. The author also mixes in a little suspense too. The author always makes you wonder what is going to happen next. The is hardly ever a point in the book in which you know what is going to happen.
The book is very well organized. It blends the fact about punishment along with a little bit of humor. Most of the booktells you about Stanley in the detention facility(Camp Green Lake). Readers who read this book may find discomfort seeing why they have to dig all those holes.
Readers will definetly enjoy this book. It is a wonderfull book full of excitement. Best of all, younger kids as well as adults will find this book to be just for you.

Summary: Camp Nowhere
Review: The story about Holes is a boy that goes to camp nowhere. He went there because of his behavior.
The reason why I liked that book is because Stanley Yelnats runs away through the desert and he eats onions. Also when he finds a wrecked boat and stays in there until his friends find him.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: one of a kind
Review: I just finshed Holes and it was good. The book was so good you did not want to put it down until you were finished. Through the book characters change their mood and new things happen each time. One thing that the boys mostly do is dig holes every day.I liked this book because it has a twist.
