Rating: Summary: NO! NO! Don't listen to them! This book is TERRIBLE! Review: This book is not a "romantic story with a twist" it's not anything good. Forget that's it's a gay bashing book, forget that the main character is an alcoholic who is like totally harsh. It's BORING. It's poorly written. The theme could have produced a really excellent book, but it fell way short. There's no compassion on Nolie's part, and even TJ isn't so great, though I naturally feel for him a bit more than her. Please believe me, it's a bad book. Don't waste your money, in fact don't even waste your time. I wouldn't even reccommend you take it out of the library. It has no redeeming qualities, the only nice thing I can say about it is, it has a decent cover. Beware. P.S, I didn't want to give it one star, I wanted to give it MINUS stars, but apparently you're required to give a book at least one. So a pity star for Whistle me Home.
Rating: Summary: Whistle Me Home Review: This book was ok. It was definitely not the best book ever. It had surprising elements, but the characters were dull. I wouldn't recommend to anyone who doesn't like to read. Find something else!
Rating: Summary: A romantic love story with a twist. Review: Whistle me Home is a great book. I was interested pretty much throughout the book. It really got into the minds of teenagers. The minds of the characters are pretty much the minds of a real high school student. When someone new comes to the neighborhood everyone is interested in that person. There is always something mysterious about that person and T.J. (The new kid) is very much so. Everone wishes that the romance in their relationship is as well as the one in the book. This book gives the reader some hope that some guys are romantic. I would have to recommend this book for girls mainly because I don't think guys would get emotional over the ending of the book.
Rating: Summary: Whistle me home - for kids 14 and over. Review: Whistle me home is about a tomboyish girl named Noli who falls in love with TG, the cutest guy around. They start a relationship that Noli wants to include sex with but TG is unreluctant. She soon comes to realize that he is gay and he admits it. But he still insists that he still loves her {even though he is gay} though Noli cannot forgive him right away, she does eventually in the end. This novel has some rough language, mature subject matter which includes sexual talk and dealing with alcolholism. All in all I enjoyed this novel very much but recommend it to an older teenage audience.
Rating: Summary: This is one of the best book ever published for teenager. Review: Whistle me home is one of the best romance story ever published for young teenagers. This is a love story about a young girl named Noli and a very cute boy named TJ. Noli and TJ felt in love the first day they met, it was the first day of the school year, since that day they stated going out. I recommend this book for all high school students. It very fun to read, and once you read you won't want to stop.
Rating: Summary: This book is a good romance book for young teenagers. Review: Whistle Me Home is the one of the best books I have read in mySemantics class. This book allows the reader to experience howdifferent people find romance. This book demonstrated how Noli and TJ were able to bond and form a relationship, through troubled times of conflict, emotional distress, and differences in how each of them preceived things. For example, forming a relationship with someone else enables one to enjoy his or her life. Noli was able to stop her bad habits of: smoking and drinking vodka when she met TJ. TJ introduced a new aspect of her life. Throughout this book the reader will find that this book demonstrates how love overcomes one's bad habits. It was very unique how the author included details (everyday experiences for us) that Noil and TJ had. I would recommend this book to teenagers as well as middle aged adults. People under the age of thirteen could read this book, but not completely understand the whole affect of the book, as teenagers and adults of society understand this book today. This book should be a reading requirement for all teenagers.
