Summary: Hauntingly catastrophic!
Review: This book made me glad I don't live in Southern California! I can't imagine living through an earthquake! This book and "Earthquake" reminded me of the movie "Titanic," where a major wide-scale catastrophe is shown in scary and vivid detail. One part, though, that did catch my attention was the part where conceited, egotistical Bruce doesn't get into the colleges of his choice. That ought to bring him back to earth quickly. It was kind of amusing how he automatically thought he'd be a shoo-in for the Ivy League schools just because his family was rich and his dad had "connections." Him and Lila are two of a kind...they carry a grandiose sense of entitlement. Maybe their mansions should have been wrecked in the quake!

Review: This book was really cool! I love the idea of something bad happening in Sweet Valley. Although I haven't read the next two books, Earthquake and Aftershock, I read about Earthquake on the Sweet Valley web site and cried when I learned Olivia died! I can't wait to read Earthquake and Aftershock, I'm sure they'll be really good!
