Summary: A book you'll remember
Review: Reading through the previous reviews here, I find some of the 'cons' expressed ludricrous. It isn't a good book because young readers aren't mature enough for the ending? What about the older ones? And the ending is 'bad' just because things don't turn out right? That's life! And the author chooses to express it, in the most poignant of ways. I *love* this novel; it not only inspires you to be grateful for what you have, but to show your gratitude to those around you. It kicks!

Summary: If you can't handle the reality of today don't read this
Review: Some people might not be able to handle this story because it brings reality to our fingertips. However, I think people need to read this and stop hiding from the world. This is about a girl who is stolen off the street and put in an underground... something. Then she seeks help by writing letters on the typewritter [she just happens to have] and slipping them out the door. It's scary what happens when help never comes.

Summary: "A Book about staying Sane"
Review: The book is about a girl who gets kidnapped for no good reason. She is put in a " box " she calls with food, water, and a little crack of light under the door. She learns how to cope with being alone and being in the dark. While she is in the " box " she writes a personal diary called TTM and she writes letters to her family and friends to keep her grip on life. I gave it five stars becaus it was a fantastic and moving story.

Summary: I would never recommend this book to anyone else.
Review: The book seemed to me a little pointless. It began too quickly, droned on in the middle and never ended.

Summary: A Very Good Book!
Review: This book is a very good book. It seems so real to me. The plot of the book is there is a girl named Jackie McGee. She got kidnapped and she is writing stories and letters with her type writer she had when she was kidnapped. She is trapped is a cellar and she try's to figure out where she is.

This book is one of my all time favorite books. This book is so real! Jackie uses a big vocabulary for her age.

I highly recommend this book to people who like any kind of book. This is as good book, maybe better than Harry Potter!

Summary: LUUUVS the book
Review: This book is probobly one of the best books I have ever <or ever will for that matter> read. Some reveiws on here say it shouldn't be classified as a young-adult book. THAT IS SO WRONG!! This book was extrodinary and just because some of you... doesn't mean you should discourage other readers from experiencing the power of this book. This book really expresses true emotions and is VERY realistic. I encourage EVERYone of every age to read this book!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: This book was great.
Review: This book shows how one teenager could have so much courage. It is very amusing and I couldn't put it down. Considering I am a female teenager myself, the thought of being kidnapped is horrifying. But Jackie somehow is not too scared.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Haunting
Review: This book stays with the reader. I read it when I was about 14 and still get the shivers when I think about it, 3 years later. The way it is narrated in a nonchalant way...the way the reader can relate to it since it is narrated by an averge girl, the way it just sort of stops, with only assumptions allowing the reader to find an ending...all of these qualities and more make it a wonderfully written book. The reader wants to know what happend just as badly as the narrator does. And because of this masterful writing, it is a complete success.

Summary: A book that opens your eyes
Review: This book was very different from the teen books I usually read. They all usually have really happy endings and are so predictable. Thsi book had so many twists and turns I didn't even know it was the end of the book when I rea dit. It left the end of the book just hanging there. TO let you fill it in. This book made me think about if I had all that time to myslef what I would do. If I would go plain crazy or what! The letters that Jackie wrote to her captor were most intersting. It kind of relates to everything that is happening with AMerica today. It levaes us with the questions~ Why? WHO? and HOW? The trajedy left us reprioritizing our lives and so will this book.

Summary: Really Great!
Review: This book was very exciting! Jackie gets locked in what seems to be a celler. She has a little water and a little bit of rotten food. When her kidnapper threw her down there with her type writer she is calm at first. Jackie writes letters to her parents or anyone who might be reading and slips them through a little space between the door and the wall. She has hope that someone will come upon her notes, but as the days go by she becomes worried. And even more when she runs out of water and food. This book is very well written and keeps you on the edge of your seat! The only reason I didn't give it all 5 stars was that it left me hanging too much at the end. However I would still recommend it to anyone. Another great book--or rather series--is Pine Hollow by Bonnie Bryant. It is very exciting! Try it! :)
