Summary: I do not want to talk garbage in my book.
Review: I have been searching for effective combat martial art methods for more than 30 years. I have realized that most popular martial art styles are not realistic combat martial art. They are heavily influenced by artistic demonstration skills, sport elements such as competition rules and scoring methods, religions, and cultures. I came out with an idea to write an unarmed combat book to teach educated people how to defend themself against strongers by simple and direct methods. I have summarized my life long real experience from east to west in this book. This book teach you how and why these skills work so that you can learn quickly. It is for ordinary people without martial art background. In other words, you do not have kick high. It is the first complete scientific system ever developed by mankinds as it is completely backuped by scientific theories and truely effective.

To be a perfact martial artist, you must know kick-boxing, wrestling,arm-lock and control. This book tells you how to use all of them. In china, it is well-known that Kung Fu has 5 elements Ti (kick), da (boxing), chin (arm- or joint-lock), shuai (wrestling), Na (control). This is what this book is about).

I worte this book mainly for educated people such as university students and also for soldiers, police office and martial art instructors who want to learn how to teach effectively.

Summary: Very cut-and-dry book on fighting physics
Review: This book is a very good one for understanding the most effective ways to move the body in a fight. The author starts off going into leverage in what he titles "A Primer", and then goes into the physics and biomechanics of throwing powerful strikes, including putting the maximum amount of weight into a punch. The second chapter is "Guiding Principles for Kickboxing", and goes into powerful, nontelegraphic blows while keeping a good defensive possition. The third chapter goes a little into jointlocks, and specifically the "wakigatame" style arm bar. The next chapter, on "combat wrestling", goes into a few basic, but effective, takedowns, used primarilly as examples to illustrate the authors principles. I think the chapter on unarmed vs. knives is worth looking at, but wouldn't be my #1 source of information on the subject. The last real chapter is unique in that it's about sentry removal in a non-lethal manner for the military. The book ends with a scientific breakdown of Holyfield/Tyson. It's a very good book, especially for the power-hitting and leverage chapters.

Summary: Great book
Review: This book is one of the most in depth books on self defense that I have ever read. Although it is sometimes hard to visualize what they book it trying to tell you, there are multiple pictures that will help. And being classified as a lethal weapon myself, I realize that this book brings in all the "fun" aspects of my training over the years. Buy this book. It will help
