Rating: Summary: A good ending to the series Review: After 20 years and countless spin-offs, the world of sweet vally is officially coming to a close. This book is a commerative edition with the first edition of SVH "Double Love" included at the back of the book. I thought the book was good, Jessica finally expressed her feelings towards Elizabeth about her going to Oxford and the twins and all their friends finally graduate. A few memorable characters from the original SVH series finally make a comeback including Amy, Lila, Bruce, Winston, Todd and Enid who is now a Goth. The one thing I did not enjoy about the SVH Senior Year series was that these characters were left out of the books replaced by new characters. All in all, the book was good, I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys the SVH series.
Rating: Summary: Sadly It's Over! Review: Hey all of you SVH Senior Year fans! I know it's devistating, but at last Francine Pascal has decided to bring this exciting novel to a close. In Sweet 18, Elizabeth tells her family and Jessica she received an offer from Oxford, and Jessica decides she will never speak to Elizabeth again for this. Jade's mother get's a great deal from a publishing co. for writing a series (SVH) surprisingly, lol. Evan gets into the college he wanted, and Jade supports him whole-heartedly. Conner and Elizabeth share a little chemistry at the end, but so does Elizabeth and Todd. Personally I think Liz and Conner are soul mates.LOL. Ken and Maria Find time to be together and celebrate Olivia's death privately. Jessica finally stops blowing up at everyone, and says she can deal with Elizabeth leaving. Elizabeth doesn't leave though! She stays with Jessi. Tia, Conner, and Andy plan their road trip(minus the boyfriends) and the book ends with the graduation and the speeches.I am very sad that Francine has decided to end this series; I love it, and the thing is I never thought I would!LOL! ...
Rating: Summary: IT'S OVER!!!!! Review: I finished this book yesterday and liked it. It was really good, and I loved the double edition part. (although I will admit that I bawled once I finshed - it's over... it's over...) But after reading all the reviews... its sad. This book was a good ending for the senior year books - but NOT for Sweet Valley. I love these books with a passion. They are a huge part of my life (sad, yes) and I don't want to let it go. I've always wondered why they made Senior Year, since we all knew a) Liz and Todd would be together again in the end b) Liz would go to SVU and c) none of the new characters were ever mentioned in a different book series. But SY was awesome like the rest and I admit that it's just as addicting to me as the others. What all loyal fans are wondering, though, is what will happen to the twins after college?? I hope Francine goes up on her consideration of making a Sweet Valley for the new generation. Please just give us a satisfying ending to these books, it can just summarize the rest of their lives in one book, but don't leave us unsatisified. SY is over, SVH is over, SVU is over, etc. But what happens next? Let us life-long fans rest in peace, will ya??Long Live Sweet Valley! We will not forget you...
Rating: Summary: Coming to a End Review: I have to say that this book made me a little sad since this will be the last book. Jessica gets mad at Elizabeth because she might be going to Oxford and Liz didn't tell her. I thought that too much of the book was focused on Jessica and Elizabeth's fight, I would have liked to seen them make up and have more fun together instead of fighting for the most part of the book. Some of the old characters are also briefly mentioned. Andy, Tia, and Conner still plan to go on their road trip, but there is something that happens that might not make their road trip as fun as it could be but everything works out in the end. Maria and Ken remember Oliva. The graduation storyline was great, I would have liked their celebration of finally graduating from high school to have been longer, I thought that it was cut kind of short. Overall though it was a good book. I re-read Double Love since I haven't read it in a long time, and boy have things changed. When Sweet Valley High was changed to Sweet Valley High Senior Year I at first didn't like the change at all in the characters and the addition of the new characters. But after reading Double Love I have to say that Sweet Valley Senior Year was a whole lot better. In Double Love Jessica sounds like a very immuture brat, and in the Senior Year books she has matured a lot. To bad the author didn't start the college series book after she ended this series because I think that it would be much more interesting to follow Jessica, Elizabeth, Tia, Maria, Ken, Conner, etc through life after high school. I also like the ending with Elizabeth and Todd.
Rating: Summary: Disappointed that Life did not Mimic the Book! Review: I read about the SVH twins over 10 years ago and had such high hopes for high school, boys and life in general. The stories were so well written that the TV version was definitely never warranted. I hungered for a more eventful life like the one's in the stories to no aveil... My high school didn't even have a football team! I believer that the imagination of today's generation of kids has been severely altered by the boob tube, and that we seriously need more well-written books such as these.

Rating: Summary: thanks for the memories Review: I started reading the Sweet Valley High series before I was even in high school. I continued to read the series through my own high school career. I'm now a Senior in COLLEGE and I'm still reading the books. This final book is a wonderful read. Jessica feels the same aprehension about graduating that I do. It also allows you to revist with old friends Winston Egbert and Enid Rollins. As the twins relieve fond memories; you the reader will too. If you currently are or ever were a Sweet Valley fan buy this book. You won't be dissapointed and you'll cry on graduation day just like I did.
Rating: Summary: The End is Near Review: It's hard to believe that the sweet valley series has been around for over 15 years. There have been sooooo many different characters, friends, places, and spinn off series from SVU to the Elizabeth series, to SVH and SVH Senior Year series. I have to say that although i haven't read every single spinoff in the sweet valley world Francince Pascal has created, from the ones that I have read, I have loved the Senior Year Series the best. It's fun, more realistic I think...espcially the funny dialogue and the new El Carro characters. Anyways, I was really sad to learn that this will be the last book in the Sweet Valley Series. Ok..so for all of you who are reading this, and haven't yet read this final book Sweet 18....I have to say that it was GREAT ! The basic plot is that Jessica is sad and thinks every1 is Abandoining her..es[ecially Liz..who Jess just found out may be leaving to go to Oxford University in London. Elizabeth is basically going crazy with her decision of whether or not she should go to Oxford...or stay here with Jess. Also while both twins are fighting...they must also come up with some specatular way to celebrate their birthdays..which is hte day before graduation and which marks the one year anniversary of the earthquake and Olivia's death. And this leads us to the whole Maria and Ken storyline. Ken obviously is out of it in this last book, as the anniversary of his first love Olivia is fast approaching. Meanwhile Maria is being Maria and stressing over her Valedictorian speech..which funny thing is she ends up losing the day of graduation. She is also jealous that Ken is still obviously not over Olivia and everything. Then there is the whole Tia, Trent, Andy, Dave, and Conner storyline. Andy tia and Conner have been planning this road trip ever since they were young...and which they planned to take after graduating..but tia and andy invite their boyfriends along..becuase they cant bare to be away from eachother..which pisses off Conner. Anyways, seeing how this is the last book in the entire series...everything ends well. Whats so cute is that at the begining of each chapter, Francine writes each of the characters Senior Will's. Like, Jade in her senior Will leaves Jess her ballet shoes, Jeremey breaks at HOJ, and Evan the keys to her heart. Anyways, its really cute cuz it brings together everything thats happened between ALL the characters and the moments they cherished. And for all you LIz and CONNER fans, like me, you will not be dissapointed. Conner leaves Liz, the "poem" in his Senior Will...refering to the poem that Liz first wrote for him in Quigleys class...which they soon after kissed for hte first time. And they have a moment at the end where they slow dance...and conner says something to the effect that there will be many more slow dances in their future. Also this book brings back old characters for like a few lines...such as Enid and Winston Egbert..and even Bruce Patman ! Whats so great about this book is that every1's excitement and fear is so clearly described..you feel as though you've come to know every1 personally...liz, jess, jeremey, tia, conner, andy..every1 ! and when you read the last page...its like you cant believe its over !! even though it ends in a happy note...you still feel sad. So for all you avid Sweet Valley fans out there.....you cant miss out on Sweet 18 !! and as for all you Non Sweet valley fans/....i suggest you start reading...
Rating: Summary: why bother Review: senior year was a waste of space and the writing went to juvenile. it begged from the beginning shoot me end me put me outta my misery. you're introduced to all new characters,um like you have a chance to establish a good character repatoire with minimum access after all there were characters from the "real" sweet valley that never had a chance that you would of loved to develop more.plus the whole SVU thing you knew who would make it so why give a flip about connor or any of the "newbies" well francine paschal wanted to end and you could tell..what was so bad with the way it was before?all i can guess is that she was bored and none bothered to read the other books.all i can say is so much possibility and promise it is a shame the death wasn't a justified end. true i may of out grew them but i am glad that my little girl will read the real sweet valley but i thought the whole senior year was an insult to teens and avid readers no wonder you wanted it to end you lost your connection.
Rating: Summary: A great ending to Sweet Valley Review: Sweet 18 is a great book. I cried while reading it, because it had so much nostalgia in its pages. If you are a Sweet Valley fan at all, you really need to purchase this book. I think it was a great idea to package the first and last ever Sweet Valley books together- Sweet 18 and Double Love. It's awesome to see that after twenty years Sweet Valley still has what made it so speacial to begin with. I can't believe this is going to be the last Sweet Valley book ever written. No more rushing to the bookstore every month to buy the latest one. No more skimming the book in the store to sneak peak all of the Elizabeth and Todd moments. ;-) Well, if it had to end (and I wish it didn't) this really is a great book. The light at the end of the tunnel for us lifelong Sweet Valley fans: "Perhaps in a few years, I'll start again with a Sweet Valley for the twenty-first century." - Francine Pascal. I sure hope she does.
