Summary: A Strange Book
Review: ...This story is about a kid (Marcus) and his mom. His mom rented the apartment on top of the garage out to a guy named Nick. Marcus's dad died awhile back, so it was just him and his mom. Nick and Marcus's mom were getting close, and Marcus didn't want another dad. Marcus found out that Nick had a son (Blake), but Nick hadn't seen Blake for years. Nick's x-wife got custody and disappeared with him. It is a surprising end and I didn't think that the book would end the way it did.

The language in this story was pretty descriptive (Robbie plunked back down). The story is not very efficient and it drags on and on, it keeps talking about one matter and keeps going on about it.

I would recommend this book to kid's that like short fast stories, but if you like long and very involved books don't pick this one.

Summary: Boo!
Review: A Review by Ruji

The book is about a boy whose name is Marcus and he lives with his mom. Then there is Nick the guy who rents the apartment that Marcus's mom rents out next door. Things get kind of weird when Marcus leaves for school and he comes back and his key that he hid is gone. That's when he starts wondering about Nick. He doesn't like him. So anyway throughtout the whole book Marcus blames Nick for the things that are getting stolen. But is Marcus right or wrong find out'

Well, I liked the book because it was really suspenseful but it was kind of boring. Like at some times when he was in the house by himself he always is freaked out and stuff. Also when he finally figures out who is stealing his stuff that is kind of suspenseful. Also the character was kind of dull and he didn't do much and I didn't think he was that great. He makes a big deal over nothing at all. Also I thought the book really boring and the character I liked was Robbie because he joked around a lot and was funny. Robbie gave life to the book because he made fun of Marcus and also it was funny when he made fun of him about Angelica.

I would recommend this book to people who don't like to read a lot but who like short suspenseful books. Also I don't think this is a very good book and I don't think that you should read it.

Summary: Gripping suspense for elementary school students.
Review: Ever felt like someone was watching you or came home to find things rearranged? That's the creepy feeling that Marcus gets in "Is Anybody There?" The reader wonders along with Marcus who takes his key and eats his food. The suspense holds to the end and the surprising conclusion.

Summary: Mysterious Story
Review: This book is about a boy named Marcus that lives in California. His dad had passed away a couple of years ago. Marcus and his mom now have a paying tenant named Nick living in the room above the garage. When it gets close to Christmas things start missing like a key, food, flashlight, and a sleeping bag but nothing really expensive and no money was missing. Marcus jumps to blame Nick. Marcus doesn't like Nick because he likes Marcus's mom. The author drops clues and hints everywhere in the book. I often thought it was Nick but things just kept telling me it wasn't. I thought it was odd how Marcus's mom thought that he had gotten up in the middle of the night and she saw the bathroom light on, but Marcus did get up but had not been in the bathroom. I was really shocked when I found out who it was. I think this is one of the best books I've ever read. It has adventure, mystery, and some of it is funny. I highly recomend this book to people who love a good mystery.

Summary: An ok book
Review: This book was just okay. it was exciting at some parts, but at other parts it was boring and seemed to drag on and on. It's mostly about a kid named Marcus who notices strange things happening and a strange noise from the garage. Overall it's an ok book. I wouldn't recommend it to everybody, especially people who like all action books, but some people who like slower unfolding books might enjoy it.
